Martin Lopez with Tama?
-
Tuesday, May 10, 2005 10:03 PM
I was checking out the endorsements section at Opeth.com and it has Tama listed and Premier is nowhere in sight. I did a search and didn't find anything. I think this is good news, Tama gains yet another great drummer!

Martin Lopez, drummer of Opeth. A really good death metal drummer, also pretty solid rock/prog drummer (if you consider Opeth's Damnation prog).

I saw an Ad in Modern Drummer (I think) of DW and Zildjian together. Tama and Sabian should team up for an ad, considering all of the drummers who play that combination

That was a sily move, but i suppose he'll get more money. Martin will never Again have the amazing sound he had on the lamentations DVD from his trusty Premier signia. Prolly one of the best sounding kits to date IMO.

He's not on the Tama's artist profile, must've been recent.

Lets just hope he hangs onto his snare at least.
When the un-numbered free emo man sees he goes *fapfapfap* because he thinks it's so yummy!

Neil Peart used his old Slingerland snare pretty much exclusively up until T4E, no matter which company he was endorsing. Perhaps Lopez would still use his Premier snare.

i wasn't a big fan of the drum sound on Deliverance (mostly the snare drum sound; didn't like the snappy and poppy sound). i have played on a signia kit once, and i wasn't impressed. this may be cause it was poorly tuned, and i believe my friend had the stock heads on them. though i admit i thought the drums sounded sick on Lamentations. well i think this is interesting. hopefully Tama will hook him up with some nice starclassics
