Yes, he is one of the most amazing guitarists out there. Also a member of the JP forum!! (even though he is just as good, and for speed freaks, I believe faster, although who's counting? )

He has one of the coolest mullets in history... Admire this sensual beast in all of it's glory. He's a great guy though...

if you see pics of him when he's older , he looks like an old wrinkled elf... like he spent his years in rivendell playing guitar for elrond, arwen and company

Yeah he hangs out at lots of local gigs here in Chicago. Last I seen him was a couple of years ago, he was in the audience for one of 9mm's shows when I was playing drums for those guys... He is a cool guy, and his technique is great. We also talked quite a bit when he was standing in line to get into the G3 show in 2001, he was one of the first people to show up and stand in line outside before the doors opened.

As good (I mean excellent by good mind you) as his technique is.......there is mostly no feeling what-so-ever in any of the songs I have heard. YEp, he is a great shredder, but there is a big difference between JP and Yngwie as well........usually in the form of tasty solos. I love watching Batio and Malmsteen but only for a short time. After that, monotony starts boring me. The gimmick is the two opposite necks where he can display his ambidextrous talent. The times i have seen him, usually he is doing the exact same thing on both necks and sometimes not even in a form of harmony, just doubling the exact notes. I think it is cool that he can do it, but I grow less wide eyed and bushy tailed about such magic tricks.
