Saintsmaen . The fact Harden got CLEARED of a concussion proves he just drama queen'd a hit in the ear. Watch the play in slow motion. Hardens skull rattles from his spine. I wouldn't be surprised if he has serious cervical spine problems. Your neck can take a degree of whipping back and forth, not necessarily side to side like Hardens did.

Saintsmaen Of course he saw him Rhino, when you throw your arms out and get all in someone elses bubble, what do you expect them to do? Say, "please sir, could you please kindly get out of the way?". Harden knew how World Peace would react, and World Peace did it. It deserved a TECHNICAL, NOTHING MORE. The fact Harden got CLEARED of a concussion proves he just drama queen'd a hit in the ear. Boo hoo, now Lakers have no World Peace for series one, and probably the first two games against, wow, look who, OKC. I hope Dallas beats the crap out of OKC now first round over this. P.S. World Peace suspended, just as it has been for the last couple of thousand years ;) You probably ought to get your prescription checked, I think your eyesight is a little bit off. Throwing an elbow into someone's head on purpose is worthy of much more than a technical. Otherwise you'd see one hell of a lot of technical fouls and one hell of a lot of cracked skulls, broken noses, concussions and black eyes as a result of those technicals.

Yeah, so I'm gonna go out on a not so big of a limb and say @Saintsmaen doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. Just because James Hardin was CLEARED of a concussion doesn't mean he didn't have one. Hardin had a concussion after being smoked by Artest. All it means is that he is cleared to play basketball. When you take an elbow to the head from somebody half the size of Ron Artest let me know. Hardin might have gotten in his way, but to call him a drama queen is stupid. You can't fake a concussion. Cool story, bro.

I have been a Laker fan my whole life. When I heard they were getting Artest (World Peace), I cringed a bit. But, as I have so many times before with players coming to the team, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and gave him a second chance (I never really forgave the guy for the malice). I liked some of the upside that he would bring to the team that they had always lacked -- especially solid defense and occasional fury. Over the past few seasons I think the guy has tried hard to be a good guy and to not freak out. But that's the thing that separates Ron from most of us: we don't have to try hard to control ourselves from laying someone out with an elbow to the head or from charging into the fans and decking someone. It's not something that most of us -- or most NBA players -- would ever consider doing. So in some ways, Ron is a ticking time bomb. If he loses control for just a moment he's vulnerable to his own rage. Unfortunately, he acted out last Sunday. And now he is suffering the consequences (which, in my opinion, are totally justified). I tried to look at the suspension with Bynum's suspension in mind (he was suspended for 5 games to start the season for intentionally laying out Barea in the playoffs last year...a straight dirty play). Bynum got 5 games for an intentional blow that was pretty vicious. Artest got 7 games for an intentional blow that was pretty vicious. Looking at it from the league's perspective, I would imagine they looked at the situation and realized they had to suspend him for at least 5 games (given the precedent they had set with the Bynum suspension), but since it was Artest and he has behaved the way he has behaved in the past, they had to tack on a few more games. So they did. From that perspective, the suspension was fair.
