At least it all seems to be on good terms.

I thought it was a bit strange that they mentioned only Allen, Orlando and Portnoy in the press release for the album but this would explain that.

I don't think Ward was utilized enough anyway... it's tough to have to "lead" guitar guys in one band.

I was lke WHAAAT?! reading FB status from Rich today, he'll be missed very much as well as DiLeo. I wish them both all the best.
 
But guys, what's more wooow for me is that Russ has put AMob to his top priorities, very serious priorities - at least according to Ward's explanation of the siuation.

Although with the reputation of Mike and Russell, I would think it would not be too hard to find suitable replacements.

I'm sure MP will be weighing in on this any minute now and we'll all know the facts..Nobody 's ever been more on the level getting the info out to the masses than Mike....You've got the floor, Oh Great One......

Hey Guys, by now we're sure you're hearing the news that Rich and Paul are no longer part of Adrenaline Mob. The core of this band has always been the three of us. The album was written and recorded that way. We later added Rich and Paul as part of the original touring lineup and we had a blast touring with them. However, they both had other projects and priorities and could not give a full-time commitment to Adrenaline Mob. We're all still friends and we wish them all the best in their other bands, but for now, our focus is entirely on Adrenaline Mob, the release of Omertà on 3/13/12, and hitting the road hard and playing for you all soon!
 
The reality is, The Mob is going full-throttle in 2012...and Rich & Paul decided that they can't give The Mob their ALL because of their existing commitments to Fozzy...(this was decided months ago actually, but we didn't want to make a big deal out of this....leave it to Blabbermouth to blow it up....ugh!)
 
We dont want to have to pass on Mob touring opportunities because of Fozzy scheduling conflicts, and conversely it wouldn't be fair to hold back Fozzy because of Mob commitments.
 
Me, Russ and Mike have decided to find some new guys that are young, hungry and fully-commited to The Mob without ANY other commitments.

The band was always me, Russ & Mike O anyways...that's how the music was arranged and recorded...
No doubt Rich & Paul were awesome assets live and we will miss them, but they were hired on as touring members and sadly, their prior commitments will prevent them from being in the band into 2012...
 
Don't fear any kind of "bad signs" in the Mob...the music and the album is intact as it was from the beginning and we are all incredibly psyched to go full-on in 2012!

Great to hear. Can't wait for this album and to see you guys again. I have been to a lot of concerts but I still can honestly say I have NEVER seen a band have as much fun on stage as you guys were having during your first show, and I'm sure all subsequent shows you played as well.

True! They need to find a Malcolm Young/Scott Ian-kinda dude. A badass rhythm guitar player who is all about locking in with the drums and let the other dude do the noodling.

If this means we get a new AMob album as well as a new Fozzy album in the future instead of having to go one or the other, I'm down for it all the way.

Was it really necessary to diminish Rich and Paul's contributions in your statement?  I love AMob.  You guys have a great live show, great tunes.  You don't need to discount their part in the group.

I don't think he has discounted their abilities or contributions. Just the opposite. But they want someone else. Nothing wrong with this. I wish them luck, and although I am not a fan of that band, surely there is a market for something like that and others who like it. This is just the nature of the beast, I am afraid. Scheduling conflicts were a reason for lineup changes in the past for thousands of acts and will continue to be. There is only 24 hrs in a day. :) Cheers!

When are auditions?

Keep this on topic and not trying to put words in someone's mouth.
At no point did MP say Rich or Paul were not a big deal or important.

Yeah is there somewhere to send stuff? Or show up? I have someone who's interested and lives local. He is a lead guitarist, guitar teacher, and session guitarist. He has all his own stuff, truck included.
