They are Ambigrams (which read different words upside down and rightside up), so the lettering must have a little "creative bend" in order to work...

Twitter is kind of like sending out texts to the entire interweb, or at least your followers. The main difference from Facebook is that it's not just your circle of friends, but might be a community of musicians, designers, movie enthusiasts, really whatever you choose to get involved in. So I tend to use it much more for professional purposes, like reading blogs and hearing what people are talking about in my field. It's kind of like RSS in that regard.

It's still very unstructured, so with anyone you follow you're likely to get a mix of personal and professional tweets, since there's no way to really sort it out.


The only thing you really need to know is to write "@name" to message someone, and that "RT" stands for ReTweet, a way of passing along an interesting tweet to your own bunch of followers. A lot of information gets passed around between networks that way, so it's good for self-promotion and such too.

Still mixing I see from the pictures..

The Dio logo being an ambigram - sort of possible: then it says "dieD" with the last D mirrored.
Scary conclusion - Ronnie Jams Dio 's got cancer at the moment so let's hope we don't have to speak of "Dio died" any time soon...

By the way, I wonder how long Mike will keep twittering. I did it a few months but dropped it because I wondered why others would know what I am doing (it's not that interesting). For artists I can understand it better though - lots of fans like the direct messages. So we''ll see...  Welcome at the twitter board, Mike!

Why?! I don't understand it when people are "shocked" about these things. YOU don't have to share anything if you don't want. If OTHER people want to share, let them share. It's not like through their sharing, they share about you as well. I really don't see the problem here. If he feels OK with sharing that he's at whatever tattoo shop or if he's going out to dinner with someone or if he just came out of the shower, then it's probably OK. And most people who are on Facebook and Twitter don't seem to mind this "being open/sharing" at all. If 350 million FB accounts aren't proof enough of that, I don't know what is.

Damn, and to think I just deleted my only subscription.....Fantasy Football Guru .....now I know my battery is really fucked!
