i can certainly see it as a possibility. i mean jp hasnt had any other drummers on the g3 tour ever (i think) so fingers crossed.

mike also uses a scaled kit on the g3 tour so all the freight costs and stuff for touring the kit around wouldnt be much of a problem. i guess we'll just have to wait and see

I can guarantee he's on the Australian leg... no reason to believe he wouldn't be playing everywhere else too.

Made my day too!  It's certainly raised my anticipation level for G3.

I can't wait to see Petrucci and Portnoy down here.  Let's hope they enjoy their time so much that they insist on bringing all of DT here on the next tour!

Mate, we can only dream. If there is an NZ date called, I'll be riding the motorcycle cross country to see it.
Unlike the rest, I'm actually this much of a jerk in real life.

Fantastic!! This will be awesome. I'll be in both nights here in São Paulo!

But one question is coming to my mind in this moment: if Dave LaRue is playing with Satch, who will be the bass player for Petrucci ???

Maybe Dave's pulling double duty?

EDIT: Are these tours gonna affect Dream Theater in any way? Did you not mention starting work on a new album?

Finally, DT will reconvene in September to begin work on our next studio album which we can hopefully have ready for a spring/summer 2007 release....

Couple hundred? Pft. It'd be me, DT and 4 hours of musical orgasm.

Greedy DT hogging Kiwi

I figured it would be good to take some non-believers along and convert them to DT's greatness sort-of-thing. And maybe take a few of the C4 presenters along as well to show them what they are missing out on, and what they should be playing

I don't think any of the C4 presenters deserve to know about DT. Apart from Jono, that is. But I think he already knows about them, because I've had him play As I Am on The Rock a few times...
