The story of your trek to CalProg is one of my faves, I have told it often.

Thanks hourglass dude! And thanks to everyone who has already contacted me about your music. I can see we will have plenty of material!
RE: Nothing But New - All New Music (BrickGlass)

Great PapaJ. You have always been very kind to Hourglass and we appreciate it. Hopefully my band will be able to send some music your way in the near future. Oh, and by the way, thanks again for making CalProg 2005 a great time. (I'm one of the four kids who drove out from Kansas.)

Nothing But New - All New Music (PapaJimH)

I know that when you saw my name on this thread you probably rolled your eyes and thought "There’s PapaJ promoting something again." And it’s true, for the last 5 years I’ve been on a sort of crusade to do whatever I could to get as many people as possible to listen to and support the music that has meant so much to me throughout my life: Progressive Rock. But for the last year I’ve made it a point not to promote any radio shows (I mean WHO doesn’t already know that PapaJ’s Matinee is on every Saturday night???) unless there was an interview or special that I thought people would WANT to be informed about.

As a by-product of my work I have been fortunate enough to receive CDs in large volumes, not only by "major" artists in the genre, but also from unknown and independent artists who are hoping their music will get some exposure and they will have a chance to be recognized. We all know there is lots of incredible talent out there that never sees the light of day, and though I have tried to introduce as much of it as possible to interested listeners, time and format constraints have not allowed me to play a great deal of it. Well I finally have a chance to rectify that.

Starting this Friday night I will be hosting a brand new show at http://www.theradiantflow.com from 8:00pm till 10:00pm (Pacific Time) called NOTHING BUT NEW. This show is entirely devoted to presenting brand new music. If you are one of those people who are always looking for something new, but come up unfulfilled listening to 2 minute samples on websites, and you don’t want to plunk down $15.00 on a CD of a band you’ve never heard, then this is the show for you. Regardless of MY personal opinion of a CD, I will play songs from everything I get, and you will have a chance to judge for yourself, and trade opinions with other music fans in chat (if you are chat inclined).

So why don’t you join us? Who knows, maybe together we will discover the next big thing in PROG.

*Note: If you are an artist who would like to have your music aired on the show, please contact me at PapaJimH@ytsejam.com and be sure to put NOTHING BUT NEW in the Subject of the email.
