You can hear them on ACOS but was it Jordan on this last tour or is it Mike Playing the crotales?

It is Jordan this time. He has it doubled with a piano sound because Mike didn't have them on the kit this time.

RE: Crotales (TheDanceOfMaternity)

ORIGINAL: Caught in a glass prison

I'm not a drummer so correct me if im wrong, but arent the crotales what mike portnoy is playing during the jam session in beyond this life on the live at budakon dvd?

ROFL NOOOOOOO those are temple blocks!!! Crotales are pitched percussion instruments.

Also, regarding my last post on this thread I believe there is a piano track doubling the crotale melody in ACOS. Unless Jordan has an arm that is ten feet long, I don't believe he plays it

RE: Crotales (TheDanceOfMaternity)

I believe it was the man himself. I'm not sure I know exactly where to FAQ you but he says somewhere that he has relative pitch on good days. On his LDT dvd he plays them a little, and since he did wind ensemble in High School, I'm sure he has good knowledge of pitched percussion instruments.

I love crotales, but instead, I am cursed with a $4000 Adams Rosewood Marimba

RE: Crotales (Caught in a glass prison)

I'm not a drummer so correct me if im wrong, but arent the crotales what mike portnoy is playing during the jam session in beyond this life on the live at budakon dvd?

Crotales (Low End)

I haven't noticed Mike's set having them as he did within the Purple, Green, and Red monster's setup.
