Im a dog-lover myself and have grown up with a dog in the house. I remember the dog we had when I was young and was growing up. She was 16 years old when she was not well and my dad had to put her to sleep. I was devastated. Cried and cried, did not go to school or anything. A dog is really a family member, and losing it is like losing a brother or sister. It sucks!

Best of wishes to the Portnoys.

The spirit carries on, Bongo!
Re:Best wishes for Bongo (Follower09)

I'm more of a Cat person my self..
But I hope all goes well with your dog! :)

Re:Best wishes for Bongo (MPfan45)

Cannot believe the good news! My dog made about 4 miraculous comebacks after being dealt some harsh blows. In fact, most recently (about a year ago) he was diagnosed with a terminal disease (not sure what it was called) where his body would continue to shut down. We were told that he would most likely not live beyond two weeks. But, as luck would have it, he bounced back and lived the rest of his life healthy and active.

As emotional as this is for me to type, it's comforting to hear that Bongo seems to be doing well. My vibes are with her and the Portnoy family.
Re:Best wishes for Bongo (Big Nate)

Glad the baby girl is doing better! This makes me very happy. Hope she stays better.

Re:Best wishes for Bongo (grisele)

Finally some great news!! She is breathing better, walking and eating. This is all a shock because Mike & I rushed her to the vet thinking that was the last time we would see her. She went down hill over night but our great vet insisted we take her to this emergency cancer doctor near Phili. We didn't think she would even make it there and now we are told that we may be able to take her home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!
It is amazing to me that they believe there is a chance she will live the rest of her natural life and with no pain. I really believe all your prayers have been heard and someone up there is helping our little Bongo get through this.
Thank you all soooo much, Marlene, Melody and Max

Re:Best wishes for Bongo (Jonny108)

Best wishes Bongo, get well soon.
Re:Best wishes for Bongo (The Fish)

 get well pup!

Re:Best wishes for Bongo (jfuchs1)

My eyes are tearing up just reading some of these posts.
