Riverside sound like a pretty realistic candidate for the support slot. Not bad, good for them!

Having seen DT twice already and heard all the classics, I must say that I will be very pleasantly surprised if they play a cover album on the Newcastle gig

Of course, most people will not be very pleased considering it won't be an Evening With show, but whatever, I'm all that counts.

Riverside and Inside Out pages don't have anything on this yet, so I'll wait for any official source to confirm it. But if it's indeed Riverside they have chosen a great band for the opening act. It's going to be a fantastic show!

When they say there will be an opening band.. do they mean like a major famous group? or just some local band from wherever it is theyr playing.. and how long could u expect dt/the opening band to play for?

Just my luck... :/ I didn't get the tickets for Metallica, and then Dream Theater isn't coming to Finland. Well... If im lucky i'll get the tickets to the Rush concert...

I think they will come in October/November - as it is the second leg of the european tour - and this leg is more festival stuff. Don't worry - they will come!

Of course these things are probably difficult to arrange and involve a lot of variables but hey, guess asking doesn't hurt.
