That must have been the deleted scene where Marty goes back to tell his favorite singers about any unfortunate career steps they'll need to watch out for. But he didn't have time to tell LaBrie he would get food poisoning while on vacation. DAMM YOU MARTY!

I got a another question...my firnd pointed this out to me years ago. Try to follow me here. Remember in the very first scene of the first movie, they show all the clocks in Doc's workshop in 1985? There is a small clock of a person hanging off the clock tower. Does this mean that Doc knew this was all going to happen before it happened in the movie? I always wondered that.

The thing that stuck me was in part 3 there should be two DeLoreans the one the stuck by lighting and the one marty takes back.... so he should be able to take the gas out of the one stuck and put it in the secend one, thus getting back home with out the train

That clock definitely foreshadows the ending, but it does not mean that Doc knew all along.  It is more likely a reference to Harold Lloyd's 1947 film The Sin of Harold Diddlebock.

When people store cars for extended periods of time, they drain the gas out of the gas tank.  And even if the gas was still in the DeLorean, it's already buried in the cave.  Going back to the cave in 1885 would interrupt the future in 1955 when 1955 Doc and Marty recover the DeLorean, thus possibly causing a paradox.

Besides, there wouldn't be much of a movie if they did that.

The thing that stuck me was in part 3 there should be two DeLoreans the one the stuck by lighting and the one marty takes back.... so he should be able to take the gas out of the one stuck and put it in the secend one, thus getting back home with out the train

No, because if he took it out of the one Doc put there for him to take back, then there wouldn't have been gas in it in 1955 for him to then take it back to 1885.

im not getting what you mean?? ive seen all of these numerous times too. can you explain a little more on what you mean by two deloreons??

What mystical end is talking about is, if you remember at the end of part 2 Doc and the delorean were struck by lighting sending them both bcak to the year 1885.  This leaves Marty in the year 1955 without a time machine. Doc in 1885 buries the delorean in a cave and writes Marty a letter telling him about it which ends up staying at the post office for all of this time.  So when Marty finds the 1885 delorean he and Doc55 fix it up so marty can go get Doc1985 from the year 1885.  Marty goes back to 1885 in the same car thats already stored in 1885. Thus meaning there are 2 Delroens in 1885 at this time.

Why couldnt they have just switched the 2 cars?  They would have the one with tiers and gas and there would be still one left in the cave for Marty in 1955.  What was the reason Doc couldnt return anyway?

It had to be replaced with 1955 parts and new tires, etc. The tools needed to mount the tires and replace all the old parts would not have been available.

My favourite line in BTTF 2 has got to be, "Dammit! The Skyway's jammed, we'll never make it on time!"

And I seriously did not know until reading this thread that Crispin Glover was replaced in the 2nd and 3rd movies. You guys completely blew my mind with that one.

Kinda like "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure" when bill tells ted to remember to get a tape recorder to fake out his bogus father "dad hey dad over here....dad...good work dude..now what...and now wyld stallyns" or "trash can remember the trash can" lol you think it was screwed up for Doc and Marty just think about how Nepoleon felt having to go back to a world without water parks!! I think if we visit Dr. Richard C. Hoaglands websight http://www.enterprisemission.com/  we can get a some what better grasp of the whole space time travel thing...or perhaps the best websight to come of age that might show evedince of a "real" Marty Mcfly ishttp://www.johntitor.com/ supposedly this dude really time traveled from the future....sweet!!!

Right from the script, the meat hooks line was spoken by Marty.  It takes place early in the film in the cafeteria scene.

Marty: oh yeah, all you gotta do is go over there and ask her.
George: What, right here right now in the cafeteria? What is she said no? I don't know if
I could take that kind of rejection. Besides, I think she'd rather go with somebody else.
                                                                    Marty: Who?
                                                                    George: Biff.
                                                                    Biff: C'mon, c'mon.
                                                                    Lorraine: Leave me alone.
Biff: You want it, you know you want it, and you know you want me to give it to you.
Lorraine: Shut your filthy mouth, I'm not that kind of girl.
Biff: Well maybe you are and you just don't know it yet.
Lorraine: Get your meat hooks off of me.
Marty: You heard her she said get your meat hooks, off, uh please.
Biff: So what's it to you, butthead. You know you've been looking for a, since you're new here,
I'm gonna cut you a break, today. So why don't you make like a tree, and get out of here.

Anyway, something else interesting I found:  The first draft of BTFF.

                                                                        http://www.scifiscripts.com/scripts/back_to_the_future_original_draft.html

The original doesn't even mention the DeLorean, the time machine is just a simple device that shoots a beam of light.  Maybe Doc was voicing the opinion of the producers when he said, "If you're going to build a time machine, why not build it with some style?"

The power converter used to power the time machine is an early version of Mr. Fusion.  Doc discovers it working when Marty pours Coke into it powering a light bulb.

George McFly grows up to be middle-weight champion of the world instead of  a best-selling sci-fi writer.

                                                                        Lorraine becomes Elaine.

No hint of the clock tower.  In order to get Marty back to 1985 (1982 in this version), he drives off with the time machine to the site of an atom-bomb test.  The radioation powers the power converter into the time machine.  They needed 4200 rads, not as impressive as 1.21 gigawatts.

And when Marty gets back to 1985 (1982), EVERYTHING has changed.  Doc has already built a flying car and lots of other inventions.  No more time traveling at all either, the only time machine was destroyed in the atom bomb blast.

I don't see how Doc's headstone could say "his beloved Clara".  He wouldn't have been at the ravine in order to save her.  Doc was only down by the ravine in 1885 take 3 (when Marty came back to get him) to check out the tracks and lack of bridge.  Therefore, she would have gone in and they'd never have met in Doc's original take on 1885.

Also, at the festival, Buford comes looking to kill the Doc.  However, it's Marty who saves him with the pie tin.  Without Marty there the first time around, shouldn't Doc have been shot that night and not the 7th?

                                                                          Yes?  No?
We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last too long

I don't see how Doc's headstone could say "his beloved Clara".  He wouldn't have been at the ravine in order to save her.  Doc was only down by the ravine in 1885 take 3 (when Marty came back to get him) to check out the tracks and lack of bridge.  Therefore, she would have gone in and they'd never have met in Doc's original take on 1885.

Easy answer. Doc would have saved her some other way. The very fact that he went back in time altered the timeline so that Clara no longer died. It is assumed that Doc would have saved her anyway, which is how they fell in love.
"Sorry Venkman, I’m terrified beyond rational thought."

Not sure, I'll have to check again.

Easy answer. Doc would have saved her some other way. The very fact that he went back in time altered the timeline so that Clara no longer died. It is assumed that Doc would have saved her anyway, which is how they fell in love.

Yeah, I guess so.  I'm sure the idea is that he met her in some dramatic fashion for them to fall in love so quickly.  As George and Lorraine did.  Coincidentally, he did so differently in two different timelines!
