TING TA TING TING
TING TA TING TING
TING TING TA TA

Just assume the "ting" is a quarter note, and the "ta" is the eighth note.  The quarter note value is about 200 beats per minute and the time signature is 5/4.

(first measure:) ting ta ting ting ting ta
(second measure:) ting ting ting ting ta ta

Also, every "ting" is a C, and every "ta" is an F#

It's a good thing I know about this song, because it is the only rush song I have ever heard!

let me clarify that for you. the quarter note is not 200.  the whole ting phrase is contained within in one 5/4 measure, then it just repeats.
i'll write out the counts (rests are parentheses):

1 (e) and uh   (2) e (and) uh   (3) e and (uh) 4 (e) and (uh)
5 (e) and uh.

then just repeat that :].

Here's an Idea.
Look it up in morse code! since this is what it is. yyz in morse code.
YYZ is the airport code for Toronto. Which is where they got the name.

Well, thanks for trying to prove that I have no Idea what I'm talking about.  That's just 10/8 in half time!

I'd scan the intro from my Rush transcription book, but I already packed away my scanner.
