    Hey Mike,
I was just wondering how you guys came up with the name Liquid Tension Experiment. Is there a story behind it or did the name just sound cool?

    Thanks,
    Karl

      Hi Karl,
I don't think I've ever been asked this one!
Actually, throughout the entire preperations and the first half of the recording, I was planning on calling it "The Millennium Project"...

JP ended up asking if we could think of a different name because in the coming years *everything* was going to be Millennium related (which was correct)...so we searched together for a new name...

I wanted it to be _____ _____ Experiment, so that was the starting point...then we were looking through a book in the studio that was providing us with different words and phrases for the songs (Universal Mind, Kindred Spirits, Freedom of Speech, etc) and that's where the 2 words Liquid & Tension popped out from.
