Video Games You Will Be Getting In 2012

So this year looks like a great year as far as game releases go, this is my list of what I will be getting!
 
Release day:

Also if Assassins Creed 3 and bio shock infinite come out this year I will be grabbing them. Although I need to finish Revelations, and bio shock 2 :p

I played Borderlands 1 for about 260 hours according to steam... so I am VERY glad that its supposed to release after I graduate.

I got borderlands 1 about a month ago and its all I have been playing. I bought all the dlc's and have my soldier maxed out to 69 and I am still playing. I am beside myself to the fact that it took me 2 years to play the game!

Hitman: Absolution
 
Don't really care about anything else.

First day release:
Diablo 3
Metro: Last Light
Hitman: Absolution
 
Wait a bit:
Mass Effect 3
I Am Alive (If it actually comes out finally, been in development for about 7+ years now)
Borderlands 2 (I never played the first but was always interested)
Silent Hill: Downpour
 
Sadly it doesn't look like this will be as a strong a year as last year was for RPG's aside from maybe Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2, but my outlook on Bioware is kinda wary ever since they signed on with EA and put out Dragon Age 2.

Unless Ubisoft has decided not to do the predictable cash grab they've been doing for the last 3 years and instead decided to actually take time to develop a game, AC 3 is coming out this year.

I might get Mass Effect 3, but I´m not sure. ME2 was fun for a couple of days, then it both aggravated and bored me. I´ll see what people say about it.
 
And GTA 5, if it comes out in 2012, is another game that I might buy, depending on the general reception. I was a bit disappointed in GTA IV.

Have you soloed Cramerax yet?

Yes, it took me forever.I did the corner glitch trick and used a s&s glorious havoc and a s&s orion to get at his back. I did it on my second play-through. I haven't gotten any pearlesent weapons yet from him. I want to go through the game co op, I feel like it would be much more fun than single player(even though single player was extremely fun)

That's probably the only two I'm really interested in. I bought a Ps3 in december, (the first console not being Nintendo I owned after being a fanboy of Nintendo all my life), so I have many older games to catch up to (I do have Skyrim though which is admittedly veeery nice!).

pre-ordered Final Fantasy XIII-2, so I'm getting that next week! woot woot

I have doubts about Hitman: Absolution, even though I love the series. The trailer just looked too much of an action game. But who knows until it's released or reviewed. 
 
Mass Effect 3 is a must buy. And I'm waiting for and afraid of falling for Diablo 3 because the previous installment was so bloody addictive.... and great. 

I'm also getting Final Fantasy XIII-2 next week. My social life is about to become non existent, since the demo was simply amazing.

That is my plan. I can wait for a few months or a year, or however long I need to. I see no reason to spend $60 on a game that I can wait for and pay sometimes $15, sometimes $30.

^ Ooh I forgot about Skyrim DLC. Been playing the HELL out of that lately, and I hope they release an expansion comparable to Shivering Isles.

Guild Wars 2. That ought to be enough.

I love The Elder Scrolls, so Skyrim DLC is always on my radar. From my impression they are shooting big this time!

Just to add to the theories. Someone found on the PC version that the entire geography for both Cyrodil (Aka. the country in Oblivion) and Morrowind are already in the game. So people are theorizing that the DLC's could have us going back to those two countries. Which would in essence double the size of the game.
 
Also on the subject of RPG's CDProjekt has announced they're working on Witcher 3 now, which who knows when it'll be out but I hope soon as Witcher 2 is without a doubt (to me at least) the greatest RPG ever made.

It was times like those I adore being a PC gamer, seeing things like every Valve game ever made for 90% off, and all other companies ranging from 70-95% off was the best nerd moment I had all year.

Totally forgot about that one. That's a DEFINITE play on release for me.

Pretty similar to you guys, Borderlands 2 is a no brainer. Gonna play with my wife on the couch and my best mate online. I'm a little worried about Mass Effect 3 but some aspects of it seem really cool as well so that'll be a wait and see. Skyrim DLC will be good, I've burned out on it for the moment though. I'm currently playing Demon Souls so if I can manage to finish that I'll probably get Dark Souls too. Finally, I've got Uncharted 1 and 2 coming in the mail to break up the hardcore stuff so I'll probably end up getting 3 as well once the price drops.

Mass Effect 3, BioShock Infinite, and Halo 4 are must-haves for me. Beyond that, we'll see.

With SWTOR taking up most of my time, the only definites I have on the radar are Diablo 3 and Halo 4. Everything else is just gravy.

Dota 2 anyone??Tell me there are some Dota fans in the house??!

I refuse to pay $59.99 a game.  I just do.  So I wait, and will be playing Assassin's Creed Revelations at some point, and Arkham City.  I'm just getting into the Call of Duty series, so I'll be starting that. 
 
Anyone still playing Bioshock 2 Multiplayer?  I have all the trophies except one, and very ffew of the people left playing online have the DLC (plus, if even one person in the game doesn't have the DLC, none of the maps ever come up).  Frustrating.

I never understood why the Infamous games don't get more love overall. 2 of my favorite videogames ever, and Uncharted 2 & 3 are amazing as well. The first was too clunky for me (I played it after playing 2 whcih was a mistake, 2 is so much better...)
 
As for me - uhh.... Infamous 3 is maybe my favorite non final fantasy game I've ever played, and I'm halfway through... I bought FF13 about 2 months ago for $10, and I think I'm about 3 hours in. So I think I'll probably be holding off on buying videogames for a while...

Diablo 3 is the only certainty as of right now.
 
I'm very much an on & off gamer. I'll get completely obsessed with a game for a while, and then not play any games for months. My last obsession was Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I've started AC:Revelations, but my interest in games suddenly disappeared again right about then. I have no doubt it will come back in a while, and I'll finish the game.
