IF they manage to release it this year.... S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is a day one buy. Unfortunately, I think they've been having issues with funding, so it likely will be pushed back to 2013.

Star Wars The Old Republic - I know it came out last Dec overseas but SWTOR officially launches in Australia in March.

Sadly I don't have the time anymore to play dozens of videogames but I can still manage to play maybe 3 or four a year. With the drop prices coming soon for last year's release I have Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 3 on my book. I recently bought Fifa 12 so I know I'll be busy with it at least until the summer.

Those are all likely first-day purchases for me, though i could see myself waiting on AC3 since i haven't even started Revelations. I've got about a 10 game backlog on my Xbox, and i went a little crazy during the Steam holiday sale, so i have 4 or 5 co-op games that i need to start w/my buddies.

After seeing a kid playing Uncharted 3 in a store recently (until then I had no idea of the series) I picked up Uncharted 2.  Man am I loving this game.  I'm about 2/3 of the way through the game now and my only question is whether it's worth it to go back and get the original after I'm done or if I should just go with Uncharted 3, which I will definitely buy at some point regardless of whether I get the first one. 
 
I also picked up Saints Row 2 recently.  That game I didn't give much of a chance but I'm thinking I need to give it more of a shot once I'm done with the Uncharted games.  My problem is that I don't have much time for video games anymore so something like the Uncharted games where you can beat them in about 10-15 hours are much more my cup of tea and I think Saints Row 2 will probably take much longer than that.

I'm probably doing DOTA 2. And Torchlight 2. Aside from that, I still have a massive backlog of things to play, and TF2 keeps taking all the time.

Uncharted 1 is probably about 80% of the goodness of the second one in my experience, I'm only a third through the second one myself. 3 is more of the same from what I've heard, they're all really solid.

Agree with those who said wait for steam sales. I haven't paid more than $5 for a game so far and I have over 50 games. Only new game that I can't wait to grab when it becomes dirt cheap is Battlefield 3. All others can wait.

Yeah there are very few games I'd pay full price for. The last two I got (uncharted 2 and Saints Row 2) I paid $15 for each. GTA V though is one I'll buy at full price though.

New trailer for Borderlands 2 is out... This is hands down the #1 game on my wishlist right now (well, it already was, but now its 87 more bazilliondier on my list)

GTA V is a defo.
 
I'll probably get Mass Effect 3, although I'm still near the end of the 1st one, and haven't even touched number 2, and here's why...
 
Skyrim DLC. Just, yes. I can't see it being as big as some posts above suggested, but I'm freaking obsessed. What a truly marvelous game.
