The names of the cover songs have not yet been released

Covert Cover 2 will hopefully be released in May/June. Momentum will hopefully be released in September.

After reading Randy's blog I am very excited about this.  Some of the best drumming MP has ever done?  Then MP saying this might be his favorite Neal CD?  That's pretty high praise as the bar has been set so high.  This and Flying Colors I am extremely excited about.  But then again I'm a huge Neal/MP mark so anything will be great

"Cover to Cover 2"(plan to be released in the spring), Another Prog album from Neal and a third album that Neal keeps as a secret for now. It will be a great year for all Prog fans!

I am resurrecting this thread. The recent spring weather reminded me that "Cover to Cover 2" is to be released in the spring, which is good news because "Cover to Cover" is such a great "good weather" CD.

Has anyone heard any news on these? What is the third, secret album?

Man I am just so excited about this. I have been on the BIGGEST Neal Morse binge lately... I think this guy has become my absolute #1 favourite songwriter. His music is just... Wow. Just so so good. I'm a Christian so I can enjoy it on a spiritual and personal level as well, but I've been  revisiting his Spock's music just as much and that is just as good. What a talent and amazing person this man is. Can not wait for the new album! I hope it comes earlier than September. That's too far away!

Radiant Records is reporting that Cover to Cover 2 is almost ready for mastering and is planned for a summer release.

Mike looked very healthy and happy (even after the In N Out) when I saw him at NAMM. It was great to see him looking and sounding better than ever. It also helps that Derek kept everyone laughing. That guy is so funny.

Yes he is......really hope him and MP put some tracks down at some point.....as far as these 3.....cranking Testimony 2 right now........looking forward to FC and the new Neal solo release!

^^^does anyone remember Mike Portnoy posting that Crazy Horses was one of his "dirty musical secret pleasures"?  I remember being about 9 or 10 and loving that song.

I do recall reading that. That song was previously included on the Lifeline Bonus disc.

I seriously wish that Neal, Mike and Randy would take the Cover to Cover series live and do a mini tour similar to the YMC tour.....and a corresponding live album!

I already have the first one. I don't ever recall a making of DVD for the first one being available? I'd love that as well.

Great to see Neal'n'Friends working on so many records this year. Four, I think that may be the most Neal has done within the same 12 months, isn't it?
 
I'm looking more forward to the solo album in September, though, because cover versions somehow elude me.
