Classical music buffs...help with identifying a song? Saturday, January 14, 2012 3:09 AM (permalink)
So..I was at the laundromat the other day (i know) and on the radio there, they had a sort of solo piano thing (please excuse my ignorance when it comes to classical music) where during the middle of the piece or so, the pianist started playing a chromatic pattern that I believe was exactly as that chromatic bass line in Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls. I swear the pianist plays that pattern during the piece and I think it sounded cool as hell, but I could not catch the name of the piece or artist or anything.

(In case you have no idea what Im talking about, the bass line that Im talking about on For Whom The Bell Tolls plays right at 41 seconds during the intro. Afterwards the guitars start to double the bass line.)

Its pretty bare but I hope you guys can help! Thanks in advance!
