Adrenaline Mob's Omerta - Coming March 13th!

Nice sleeve design. Sticking the cover song in the middle of the album could be a bad move though (imo). Maybe should have been at the end as a bonus or something. Brings back horrible thoughts of how Megadeth ruined United Abominations by sticking that new 'A Tout Le Monde' cover in the middle of the album. Totally ruined the flow for me.

Yeah, you don't normally see covers jammed in the middle of the tracklist -- they're usually the end to the album, or a bonus track.
 
I'm not a fan of Adrenaline Mob but if there's a music video or a different single that's released I'll check it out and see if I like it.  I really don't like Psychosane at all and I hope that's not the one they'll be pushing.  But that Mob Rules cover... oh my god, it owns!

Wow, I'm surprised. I very strongly dislike his designs in general, but this one is pretty cool.

 
Some might not like his work but he's got an impressive portfolio/client list. 
I like his style.

The logo makes me think of the Mafia games... and the album name reminds me of, well.... Lamb of God

The fact that Jay Ruston mixed it already gets me pumped up! But yes this AMob album is going to be awesome! Already heard a new song or two from the night they played in Dallas.

Being a DUET with Russel Allen it perfectly fits in the middle of the album! IMO

That's still the biggest surprise ever... who would've EVER thought that prog legends Russell Allen and MP cover a Duran Duran tune... I was very into pop in the '80s, I grew up listening to those bands like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Talk Talk, Aha, etc... so I'm very curious 'bout this song.

But there are plenty of examples of covers not disrupting the flow at all. Queensryche's Rage For Order and any pre-1984 Van Halen album come immediately to mind.
 
 

Zepellin's 1st album is another example of an album where the covers didn't disrupt the flow.

Come Undone is not "just a cover"...it's an amazing vocal duet between Russ and Lzzy and it is absolutely awesome...

I base an album's sequence on the flow of the "big picture"...the fact that it was a cover meant nothing to me in sequencing the album...it's exactly where it should be!

Anyways, I am glad you are all excited...
I can't tell you how much I love this album...every song is strong in its own right!

I was wondering how the Prog fans would take to Bone Daddy.
It's definitely more like a Maiden or Megadeth cover...certainly not "Prog", but I think you all have finally figured that out about the Mob!! : )
 
And as far as the Mobfather logo, it's indeed true it was initially going to be just a fun, tongue in cheek "introduction" logo for the EP....but we've grown to love it and honestly, nothing that the cover artist created and showed us beat it...so it stayed..

I just recently got into Iced Earth... I think Adrenaline Mob is gonna be perfect for my state of mind. Looking forward to it!

Listening to Undaunted right now on Trunk. This mix is pretty awesome.

Nice drumming on Undaunted.  There's so much mediocre hard rock stuff that's lacking because of boring drums.  This totally kicks it up.
And I've been waiting forever for Russell to do an album like this.  He sounds fantastic.
I'm sure I'll be listening to this album plenty of times by my mom's boyfriend while he's working out downstairs. This is right up his alley.
 
Still, I can't wait to hear Lzzy and Russell sing together

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of the EP, but Undaunted sounded quite ok. Liked the solo, and the mix wasn't as "in your face" as the EP. Course the EP having dodgy production was to be expected as it was, admittedly, by the band themselves if you read between the lines a bit, a rush job.
 
Mr. Trunk has always been prone to hyperbole, so I'll forgive him for saying that it's the best work of Russ and MP's career though. It was good......but not THAT damn good.

Pumped for AMob, happy with the cover art, mad at this stupid iHeartRadio service available only in the U.S., I liked Q104.3 before this dickish move.
I have a huge smile all over my face and March 13th marked on my calendar.

I see one of the skeletons appears to have his back turned to the Bone Daddy master.  He must be the Deceiver, the False Witness.

Very cool looking cover. Articulate and still metal.
Some Canadian dates will be swell.

Cover is really cool, interested to hear new songs now to see if any improvement on the EP.

With a name like Adrenaline Mob you expect the music to be aggressive and that's what you get on Omerta. Adrenaline Mob's eleven track full length debut is assertive and hard rocking!

The band has a potent list of core credentials, which includes Symphony X singer Russell Allen, guitar shredder Mike Orlando from Sonic Stomp and master drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold & more). In 2011, the group released a five song EP and toured with Godsmack. They were generally well received by their family of fans.

On Omerta - which is the blood oath you take to join the Mafia - Adrenaline Mob comes out fighting. The first track "Undaunted" is a forceful piece about facing your fears. It is followed by the frenzied "Psychosane". After these two heart-racing tunes the pace slackens just a bit for the insightful "Indifferent" and "All On The Line" - a bold hard rock ballad.

Adrenaline Mob kicks it back into high gear with crushing riffs and rhythms on "Hit The Wall". "Feelin' Me" is angry both vocally and musically. The second half of the record surges on more fast and furious fret work and beats besieged by furious vocals. The CD closes with the power packed "Freight Train" complete with train sounds.

Although Omerta is a hard driving record it does have occasional moments of intimacy and intricate instrumentation flowing among its killer grooves. The CD is pulsing and primal and is scheduled to be released to the masses in March of 2012!

The sample of All On The Line now on the AMob facebook page is great.
This and Indifferent are probably the best of the songs I have heard so far as they show 2 extra sides to the Mob rather than the 4 we heard on the EP. There is a bit more light and shade on these songs so that's cool.

All On The Line and Indifferent sound incredible. I was not expecting them to have such a varied sound. After the EP I was worried they would be a bit one dimensional to really hold my attention. I cannot wait for this album to come out now, very excited.

agreed. when i heard all on the line live at hiro's ballroom thats when i really started to dig this band alot.  i mentioned how awesome it is on the official Amob facebook page yesterday, and got a "like" from MP's wife ()  which i'll admit was quite a surprise...
 

It's great that the album is finally coming out. It can bring back my interest for metal (the only metal band I've listened to in years is Opeth, despite being a metalhead in my youth).

I just pre ordered this from Amazon along with Flying Colors for $26,06 both and free shipping!

 

Honestly, I'm much more excited for Flying Colors, but I ordered Omerta just now because it was $10.  That and mainly because MP, MO, and RA are signing it!
 
At least, they should.  I ordered it less than 10 minutes after Mike's tweet about it, I hope they didn't sell out that fast :P

I just listened "Come Undone" with Lizy Hale and really didn't understand, why it was necessary to invite, literally, the new godess of female rock singing, just to put her as deep in the mix as it possible? Same way, as Black Stone Cherry did on their latest album.
