Big name movies that most have seen but you have not

I was thinking this morning there are a lot of big name movies that I have yet to see and I'm sure a lot of people have. So here's my list at the moment. What is YOUR list?
 
Harry Potter - I have yet to see any of them.
 
Pirates of the Caribbean - Haven't seen any of them.
 
Avatar - Didn't see this one as of yet, keep thinking I'll be disappointed for some reason.
 
That's the big ones I can think of at the moment. I'm not taking into account the hollywood remakes like Arthur and Nightmare of Elm Street. I refuse to see those just because I know it will not even come close to comparing to the original for me.

I've never seen The Wizard of Oz.

Avatar, and I have no desire to.  Also none of the HP films... again, zero desire to.
 
Gone With the Wind.  I love epics, but I just haven't had the patience for that much attention whoring.
 
Yellow Submarine.  Just not a Beatles fan. 
 
Some of my friends look at me strangely when I say The Great Mouse Detective, too, like it's something I should've seen a hundred times by now.  Never have.  Never had any desire to.
 
Any of the Jaws movies except the original, which I only saw recently.  I'm going to guess that maybe it would have been scarier if I were 6 and not used to much more modern approaches to making things...y'know...look real.
 
Speaking of Spielberg, Close Encounters.  Just never saw it.  Probably the only choice on this list I probably will eventually get around to watching.
 
Neither Cloverfield nor Super 8.  I've heard the latter is much better than the former, but after the advertising approach to the former, I refused to see the latter.  Sorry, JJ. 

Haven't seen Avatar.  I also haven't seen any of the Godfathers.  I may have seen parts of GF 1 in the 80s but I was so blitzed and partying with these biker chicks that I don't even really remember it.  I vaguely recall something about a horses head and that's about it.  *I remember the biker chicks though!*

I suppose a more recent release (that I think is going to become an instant classic...but I don't really care) Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

I would probably say Avatar, Scarface, and the Harry Potter movies mostly.

And it's funny really because before its release I was so pumped for it. The thought of a new Jimmy C flick made my nipples tingle, and I couldn't wait. For some reason I didn't catch it on the opening weekend and after reading a lot of negative reviews I just couldn't be bothered with it anymore. 
 
To be honest, I'm not really into Feature length films anymore. I rarely go to the cinema, and I get bored far too easily. I prefer to read, or watch TV. 

Wow, I thought I was one of only a few people who have yet to see Avatar. I also just have no desire to see it. Not for me.

I've only seen the first Godfather - loved it, but haven't gotten around to the others yet.

I'm sure there are plenty more.  These are all movies that I'd like to see eventually.

Interestingly, Avatar was no. 1 on my list up until a month ago, when I watched it against my will (not really, but I was outvoted on the movie choice).  Despite being almost totally predictable, that was a really engrossing movie.   Do NOT judge the book by it's cover.

Most of the recent Oscar buzz candidates.
 

Oh, and any Humphrey Bogart movie.

Stadler - I highly recommend Casablanca.  All-time classic.

Ok now I don't feel so bad for the others who haven't seen Avatar or any of the HP movies either.

When Harry Met Sally. For some reason I just don't care.

For those who haven't seen Gone With the Wind....
Go fucking watch it now. It is literally one of the best pieces of cinema, ever.

I agree with snapple--Gone With The Wind is a cinematic masterpiece that should not be missed.  Same with Citizen Kane, The Wizard Of Oz, The Godfather (I and II only though), Psycho, Apocalypse Now... you get the picture.  It makes me sad that these cinematic gems are just being missed out on.

When Harry Met Sally (I agree with Cassie--I just can't get interested enough to bother.)

What always sticks out for me are all the old to medium age "classics" like The Godfather, or Scarface, etc, which I have not seen, yet some people I know have seen the lot. Me and some new friends were looking at a poster of famous movie quotes, and I only got a handful, whereas they got the lot. Given that I feel like I watch a lot of films (at least one per week at student halls, often up to three per week at home - though that might not be many to some), I feel out of the loop. This is where I need to study a "films you must see before you die" list...

I've never seen any of the Star Wars or Lord of the ring movies.

@kick-jem: that saved you quite some time then :P

I very recently tried Apocalypse Now a couple times but couldn't get more than 45 mins through it. Just not my kind of movie. I found it started slow and continued that way. Even the scene where Robert Duvall's bunch do a raid with choppers didn't interest me.
