Evidently, Anglagard are releasing a new one in 2012!

Just wanted to drop a line about the developments...! The album as far as we know right now will consist of four rather lengthy pieces. So far we have recorded Drums (at Atlantis were Opeths Heritage was recorded), Bass, Electric guitar on two tracks, Hammond B3, and yesterday we started recording flute. We are currently working in several studios at the same time to get as much done as possible.

We hope to have the whole thing recorded and mixed by April so that we can bring the album with us when we do a handful of gigs around the world. CDs and probably a double LP. When it comes to liveshows we have decided to play live throughout 2012 and then take a break again. We will be announcing gigs throughout the spring as they are settled.

Surprised to see OSI just mentioned once.  OSI #4 was slated for release this month.  Anyone heard anything new?

maybe due to lack of interest in OSI? frankly after the way Kevin Moore more or less hijacked it to becoming a sister project of Chroma Key totally ruined my interest in OSI. If they ever do something more like the 1st record, I may return to being more of a fan. Maybe Jim's return to doing heavier, more *rock* oriented music again  with Arch/Matheos, will impact how different their next record is. But until that happens, I will have very little to-no-interest in OSI.

Everything I'm looking forward to has already been mentioned in this thread, so this post is superfluous. The woes of posting in a prog/metal forum. 
 
But this thread reminded me about that Barbieri/Hogarth project. So now I'm happy again.

I actually liked Blood and I think that given the style in which Moore hijacked the band, Gavin Harrison fits better than MP and sounds awesome on Blood.  I do agree that the original intent of Matheos & MP had more potential than where Moore led the effort.  I would like to see the metal knob cranked up on the next release.

Foxy Shazam has a new one out next month I believe.  Though from the single already released I'm not sold until I hear more.  I'm sure whatever they do will be creative but it may just not be my thing this time.

How To Destroy Angels. (Seriously, this music just needs to be released NOW. That EP was some of my favourite stuff Reznor's ever done and just .. wow. I need more. Whatever it ends up sounding like)
 
The Dead Weather (No official news on this, but they don't seem to be slowing down at all. Their sound is one that could be released every year and not be often enough)

Kitten (I just love this band so much. Anything with more of their music is lovely. Will never have enough of Chloe Chaidez's voice, and frankly, I think she'll be recording music for decades to come. Thank god.
 
The xx (not sure what to say that I haven't before. Jamie xx is a fascinating producer and he feels right at home with this band)
 
The Weeknd (I suppose all the material is already released, but it's gonna be great to have a physical version of this polarizing, unrelenting stuff)

RPWL is releasing a concept album called Beyond Man And Time on March 13th.
