I won't crucify you for listening to electronic music. I'm a 40 year old drummer who's listened to prog forever, and shunned electric music up until about 6 months ago. I think I have every drum part for about 500 songs memorized in my head. To me, its actually refreshing to NOT concentrate on how a drummer plays and just be content with the 'four on the floor' drum loop. I also really like the production of electronic music and the use of samples to create a 'sound mosaic' using bits and pieces of other music that have no relation to the new piece of music. Anyway, a few of my favorite electronic tunes.... Bright Morningstar - DJ Tiesto The 16th Hour and Strobe - DeadMau5 Narayan - Climbatize - The Prodigy High Roller - The Crystal Method

I'm into oldstyle electronic music lately, particular Kraftwerk. Another one I really like, although I would describe it as "electronic ambient new age like moodscapes" is Pantha du Prince. I have his latest album Black Noise but I understood that the album This Bliss is even better. I also won't crucify you for listening to music outside the prog-scene. Quite the opposite, I enjoy all kinds of music, not only prog/metal, and my cd-collection ranges from classical (which in itself contains too many subgenres) to the most simplest pop music. What matters with music is, is that it should touch you. That can be with a simple 4/4 popsong whose lyrics could be interchanged with any other 4/4 popsong (the four chords song) or with a difficult to follow progmetal song with cookie monster vocals.

sorry new suggestion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv2J18MQRQI Animus Vox by the Glitch mob (official video link is above) love this kind of stuff, keep suggestions coming in...i HATE dubstep, but i love songs that use cool electronic ambience and mix it in with some rock influence or ambience influece...songs that just have a strong unoriginal beat with an electronic overtone does not interest me

I love all sorts of EDM. Big fan of Avicii... check out Avicii- Fire (Levels 2) if you haven't. I can't find an official link, so you'll have to pull it up yourself. Avicii- Fuck School (Feat. Ricky Romero) Original Mix is another good one. If you dig Avicii, you might like this one: Porter Robinson- Unison (Original Mix)

Ok, last one. This is one of my favorite electronic songs of all time by one of my favorite electronic artists. It is funky as hell. Has a great bass line sample... the song just kicks all sorts of ass and is about as unique as it gets.
