Most of you who have discussed American Idol here know I have been a fan of James Durbin and I have been tracking His progress since He was eliminated from Idol. I went to see the idols tour last month too. It was pretty cool to see/hear James. I even created an internet "radio station" called "Durbinator Radio" that plays His music as well as 80's & 90's metal plus classic rock. Anyways, I just wanted to share a few tidbits about James' career because some pretty cool things are going on. First, James was signed to Wind Up records and now has an official site (still basic as of now) http://www.durbinrock.com James has also recently recorded a track for His upcoming debut album with Mick Mars on guitar. James' first song "Stand Up" will appear on an upcoming NFL music compilation coming out next Tuesday. Plus, maybe in the near future there is the possibility that MP may play/record with James. So some pretty cool stuff going on.

      Yeah, this has to happen.

I'd be surprised if that doesn't happen. Both have expressed a desire to do so.

Just to bring this back up. Did anyone ever check out his debut album? It's pretty freaking good in my opinion!

I got it for Christmas and like it a lot.  Stand-out tracks for me are Higher Than Heaven, Love Me Bad, Deeper, May, Outcast (with Mick Mars) and Everything Burns.  I have to admit that I was kind of surprised to find that David Cook actually co-wrote a song with him.  Good stuff!

I gave it a listen when AOL streamed it before it was released and my initial impression was that it was simply ok, and ended up passing on buying the disc. I'll likely give it another shot if I come across a used copy at some point in time...

I gotta be honest, I didn't even know it was released!  I assumed there'd be more fanfare.  Gotta go find some samples...

I didn't even know it was out until I opened it Christmas morning.  It was a nice surprise.

I like the album a lot. My favorite track is Outcast. I cannot wait for a tour. Should be interesting to see James on His own. My wife & I went to see the Idols tour (She liked Scotty a lot). I was there to see James. We didn't pay for the tickets though, One of the "Durbinators" bought them for us as an early (at the time) Wedding present.
