I watched the finale, without any of the other episodes. I was familiar with Coach and Ozzy from prior seasons. I turned off the TV when Ozzy started to go on his high horse and about how much he loved nature and it made him wiser, and skateboarding taught him to get up, etc. etc. He is a reality show star, and a damn cocky one at that. Why is he better than anyone, or in a position to give life advice? Do not like that man. Without knowing anything about this Sophie person, I was rooting for her by default.

I don't think Sophie should have won...what did she do? Nothing, that's what. I really wanted Ozzy to win, then Coach. Sophie? BooHiss

Pretty insane finale! Glad to see Coach finally get to the end...he really held back the tears this season.

BooHiss Winning three individual immunity challenges and winning the final challenge to knock out Ozzy (who was guranteed to win if he were in the final three) dfoesn't count for anything? Given the final three, Sophie deserved to win!

Yeah, whether you 'liked' her or not...Sophie played an almost perfect game. Kept just under the radar all the while being directly involved in strategizing. And as DT2003 said....4 individual immunity wins INCLUDING the most valuable and important one. There is no doubt she deserved it. That being said...I'd been equally satisfied had they chose Coach. But enough is enough.....and that's enough of the 'veteran' appearances for a while. Let's get back to random rookies lying to each other please.

I had to go back and look bc I didn't realize how much she had actually won...a well played game from beginning to end for Sophie.

Although I wanted Coach to win (after Ozzy was eliminated), I was o.k. with Sophie winning. She did win THE CHALLENGE that mattered most, as Ozzy would have run the table had he won. It never ceases to amaze how people make the wrong choices as to who to bring to the end. It seemed obvious that if Coach had brought Rick & Albert, he would have won. Albert even pointed this out, but he made the wrong choice. Really enjoyed Coach this year, Ozzy was amazing, Brendan was entertaining, Cochran was hilarious but after that I didn't really like any others. Hopefully next season will be without veterans and get some more people with personality and don't worry about getting all these freaking pretty 20-somethings who are unwatchable.

Having reached a point with Survivor to almost being bored with it and just being upset at myself for even wasting my time watching it, I think next seasons concept is intriguing. Having both tribes in the same spot lends its hand in creating a new aspect of 'alliances'. They won't be limited to creating and forming them merely within thier own 'tribe', and there will be the opportunity to plant 'moles' or 'under cover agents' if you will. It might be just the thing needed to spice it up. Because truthfully, the whole 'immunity idol' thing has worn off for me and the 'redemption' theme has as well. I am going to give the 'new' idea a shot and see what new ways people can lie and decieve each other in this new format. Why is the bad in people so easily exploited and 'fun' to watch?

drummer The show is and will always be about personalities It's what it has become, but it's not what it was. The show used to be a game of people from all walks of life coming together and trying to outwit/outsmart/outplay one another. Strong personalities shone through, but, most everyone got equal treatment. For the last few seasons now, there has been a definite emphasis on "personality" over gamesmanship, to the shows detriment. Hell, Rick left the show at 5 and before that episode we heard him speak two, maybe three times in the entire season. Like I said, if Hantz vs Hantz happens (which is quite likely), I will skip that season (just like I skipped the last one when it was obvious Rahb was coasting to a win).
