thanks Staker. We've been kind of oblivious to the quality of the sound, but I suppose one thing I think we should do is do some more extensive mic checking before hand and actually record and listen back. But I think there's a good chance the next time we do this, we'll be switching up the mics a bit.
The point about comments about albums we both know is a valid one, but it often is a case of a lot more prep (and knowing ahead of time) what we both have heard and not heard.
I guess we should do some outlining to focus on more stuff we both have a decent amount of background about. And I think if we end up discussing live shows and older music, namely from bands we do both know, there will be more mutual discussion. Like 1 band I don't think we've mentioned much, but I'd say we should/will is King's X, bc I know Josh is a very big fan, as am I. And they're an example of a band we both know their whole catalog pretty well.
As far as the Youtube thing, that's just a matter of having a camera, which I think Josh mentioned he does. If we do that, I am assuming we'll just end up putting up an excerpt of the whole discussion; filming maybe around 45 minutes. Which in a lot of ways, might be more appealing (relatively) in terms of length. Kind of an ice-breaker per say.
And that I'm sure will be like this, very trial-and-error. But the point about Youtube, certainly it would find a larger audience. Which might be for the better, or might not. We're not professionals of course, how much goes into this is certainly unclear. But it is an experiment, as the topic title says, that we're both interested in continuing to try and do.
1 comparison might be
Used Bin Radio, bc those guys every week have a similar length and kind of discussion, that for the most part, works pretty well.
