What was Raise the Knife about?

I know that I aready e-mailed you about this, but I'm hoping that you were just too busy with your tour and everything, and that it's not too personal.

I know you once said that only a few Dream Theater songs have ever been written about personal experience that you guys had (and a good chunk of those were Kevin's). You said that Raise the Knife was one of those songs. I was listening to the lyrics, and remembered you saying that his leaving the band hurt you quite a bit, because you'd always been close friends. Were those lyrics written for him?
