Turns out this album will be available on a free download for some time yet, so there is still time! I must have made up the only-one-day thing...

yeah, same with The Gloomcatcher being free. It may be until New Years. I just noticed Casey Crescenzo post this on twitter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fallingup/falling-ups-new-album Falling Up, Jessy and Josh Shroy's other/older band, are also working on a new record, and looking to fund it (like they tried with the upcoming TRE album). And it's impressive to notice how many pledges and and how much money they've already raised (over $7,000). I chipped in anyway, for one, because I do enjoy their last album, Fangs, especially. But also am curious what they may do next.

bump. so the aim for the new The River Empires record "Mars/Brighton II" is now more likely Fall. And there's supposed to be a documentary of some sort included with it. Jessy mentions it in a new interview here: http://sideburnsmovement.blogspot.com/2011/03/interview-with-jessy-ribordy-from-river.html I am pretty excited for that, but in the short term, Jessy's focus right now is with Falling Up who announced their new album "Your Sparkling Death Cometh" is being released in June (28th according to Wikipedia).

Mars/Brighton II audio/ footage for a coming documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeIUBqIR5kQ Also The Gloomcatcher have an EP titled "Starla Over the Fences" due on July 19th. Jessy Ribordy is almost starting to rival MP in his prolificacy in 2011. He also is appearing on The Dear Hunter's The Color Spectrum in fact.

Nice, I completely missed that Gloomcatcher update! Checking it out and enjoying it, for some reason I've always enjoyed Gloomcatcher more than a good chunk of the stuff on The River Empires album.

bump. http://allmediareviews.blogspot.com/2012/01/northern-abbey-northern-abbey-ep-2012.html not a ton of specific new info about the series or the next release, but Jessy Ribordy posted a link on facebook about to this project he's involved with called Northern Abbey which is just SUBLIME, much like some of TRE music. They released their 3-song Debut EP just yesterday. I'd totally recommend it to anyone who digs TRE or The Gloomcatcher especially.

Listened to it last night and found it very "Gloomcatcher"-esque. Loved it tho'.

As usual with TRE / Gloomcatcher, the songs just grow on you. Absolutely love "Five Circles" and have gone into a TRE / Gloomcatcher listening phase this last week. So stoked for the new album that I donated $10 out of the blue :)

- David Craft: Hey, is Five Circles a true single, or is it off the new record? - The River Empires: Yes, sort of... Things are moving backward, so imagine it as the last single of the soon to come seven albums, just before Epilogue begins. I realize this may come off as confusing but things are coming that will start to shed light on the direction of the project. Sounds exciting.

yep. Although how exactly that translates/maps to the Epilogue record may not be so precise. I.e., if you took each of the 7? records to come, and they are released backwards chronologically, Mars/Brighton II being the *last* Volume, Chapter, etc will the subject matter/music specifically resemble the ending of Volume II from Epilogue? I think Jessy's intention is, it will, but ultimately, I'm a little skeptical it will, at least more precisely.
