Hey Gang,

I must apologize for my lack of HOTD entries....
It's not that I'm not enjoying any new music, films and TV lately...of course I am...as always, I am knee-deep in constant media enjoyment and inspiration...

The lack of posts here are really more due to my frequent (if not daily) posts via Twitter and Facebook.

When I began posting my Hero Of The Day posts in The Forum almost a decade ago, there was not "social networking" outlets like we have today....

So as I have begun to utilize things like Twitter and Facebook more and more, I find myself "blogging" here less and less....(however, I am still very active in my viewing, my responses and my overall participation on The Forum in daily threads...)

So, it's not to say I may not still occasionally post here in the HOTD section of the site....however, for more consistant posts of music I'm enjoying, concerts I'm seeing and films and TV shows I'm watching and digging, I suggest keep up with my posts on Twitter and Facebook.....

I check out here and Twitter. That works for me. I am more of a casual observer of MP's goings on (from a sociological and music history / appreciation standpoint), and a fan of the music primarily. No one deserves too much of my attention.

...I wouldn't want too much of my attention actually.

I do appreciate your openess on your life, but maybe sharing with all public what what Marlene posts on your wall is a bit private, dont you think? Well, at the end of the day...that's what Facebook is for, isn't? :P

I must also mention that I use my Facebook mainly for "real" friends and family...

I'd say that's a very wise choice. I am kind of bugged by how people will "friend" people they don't even personally know. A good 100 or more "friends" on my brother's Facebook, he doesn't even know them in real life!
