The truth about the Winnipeg Maiden/DT show...

I don't know, but I suppose if someone can confirm Darrell's response - that there was only a 30 minute slot available (which sounds really odd, but anyway), then this whole thing is just a Fait Accompli... and the promoter still lied.

Darrell did NOT say there was a thirty minute slot.  I was speaking hypothetically.

He said the doors were at 8PM and they are usually at 7PM, and he thought that was odd.  He also said there was barely going to be time for them to play.

From those few points, I'm *guessing* that the opening slot is unusually short.

EDIT: Try to remember that Darrell may not have all the info either.  In any situation like this, there are SO MANY THINGS GOING ON, that I don't believe it's possible for one person to have all the info.  PERIOD.

Yeah, I finally found his reply to your FB post... and tried to edit my post above yours, but again ran out of time.
I think this is as far as the story needs to go.

So I had to join this forum just to post my piece about this.

I saw DT last year in the peg at the Prog Nation Tour. They were epic. After being a true fan for the last 7 years... I was so stoked to see them.

I too, wont go see Maiden because they got cut and even just to read that it was True North that had a thing in it... How lame.

DT needs to come back. And NOT to the Burton Cummings Theater either. An evening with... Except better advertising of this. fans would come. Man I'm so pissed that the closest I have to drive is 8 hours to Saskatoon that TINY fucking city just to see them.
