I always feel bad when these former child stars lose their battles. Most people will never go through that experience. These kids have the world by the balls at such a young age but eventually they are no longer wanted and they have no other skill/trade in life to support themselves. So they go down the narcotics/alcohol route. Sad. RIP

News like this is essentially becoming predicatable from the Hollywood front. It's very sad and awful when someone can't defeat addiction and it leads to thier early death. Can't imagine the mindset and helplessness of someone who sees celebrities/friends like this succom to the drugs and die but still continue doing it until it kills them as well. I don't think I'll ever understand that, I just pray for an enlightenment and breakthrough for those souls who believe they are defeated......
"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.....Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." Why doesn't this surprise me. Another fallen Hollywood soldier. If you watch the movie Dream A Little Dream, there is some good dialogue between him and the other character where they mention Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Edit: is an overdose ever not accidental? If so, then it is called suicide in that instance.

Duke Edit: is an overdose ever not accidental? If so, then it is called suicide in that instance. Absolutely. Not all overdoses are fatal. Back in the day I used to know a lot of guys who would have rather overdosed than underdosed.

AdRock18 Vinman Never heard of him, but RIP. Due, where are you from and how old are you? Haven't heard of him either. 23 years old from Ohio. You guys said he was from the 80's. I remember very little of the 80's. Most of my first memories are from the early 90's. But regardless RIP.

KirksNoseHair Drugs = The Great Eraser It erases lives, success, homes, cars, dignity, self worth, common sense....everything. This needs quoted ever so often for those who only read the last post in a thread... It is amazing to me that with modern media saturation, constant news like this, and shows like celebrity rehab, that people still think it's cool to initially get involved with drugs like that. It never gets any easier to watch these gifted people destroyed by this stuff. :(

That sucks. Unfortunately, Haim will now be another statistic and example of why people should not use drugs. It's easy to sit here and say that I don't understand why someone who had a drug problem, would take more drugs to help with the initial problem. I'm sure that there are plenty of people that are on some sort of medication, that really do need it, to curve the craving for the cause of taking a drug to begin with. It also sucks, that we are all under so much pressure to deliver everything as quickly as possible. This ideology of, I won't it now, as really come to backfire in the world of many people. In a perfect world I guess you could say hey I need a break, so I can continue to be productive on my own terms. Patience, in my opinion, is one thing that we all need to re-introduce to ourselves. Ironically enough we are tested with it everyday and just have to accept it for what it is. After reading the story and only imagining what he went through, I can't help but be reminded of Julie Garland who was pumped full of so many drugs just to be able to handle her workload. "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it".

I wonder if there were any prop bets on which Corey would go first. My money would've been on Feldman. Too bad he never got his life together, I really enjoyed his work back in the day. Lost Boys and License to Drive are classics.

Those lines are great! I totally agree. On topic I didn't know him up to now, but dying at the age of 38 is way too young. No matter what the causes are.

Weird, today I found out there is going to be a lost boys 3. I research it to see if Haim is going to be in it, only to find out he had just died. That was a weird feeling. I hope it wasn't suicide. RIP Corey Haim

Yall are forgetting about Dream a Little Dream that they were both in together. After seeing Feldman in that reality show with Vince Neil and MC Hammer, I knew by then that he'd cleaned up. But also after seeing The Two Cory's.....I had serious doubts on Haim.
