Shouldn't the RIAA be helping them with this? Why do they even exist, anyway?

Is it just Gilmour, and Mason? Because Wright is dead, and Waters left the band in the 80's. Or would Waters be considered part of it since he rejoined them for Live 8?

Devnoy Just take those corporate fucks down Floyd! Another way to look at this would be "a bunch of millionaires trying to get even more money from a struggling company".

I don't care Kyo. It's their art and in my book they should get the most out of it. By the way as far as we know it's EMI that have breached the contract. And as stated before I think this is more about integrity than money - if they were money grumbling individuals they wouldn't have donated the huge amount of profit they made on record sales after Live8 to charity. I think Roger is a part of this as well since he is the owner of parts of their material.

Kyo By the way as far as we know it's EMI that have breached the contract. Have you seen the contract? Because I'd rather say we don't know anything at this point. I haven't seen it. But as it says in the article PF had a clausal in their contract saying that EMI wasn't allowed to split up their albums into separate tracks, but that is what they have done digitally. Plus they haven't been giving enough royalties. I don't think PF would jump down their throat if they didn't believe something suspect was going on. This is of course only reports from the PT-camp and therefore I can only react on that. I may be hasty to judge, but cases like these happens very often. I just hate seeing record companies taking advantage of their artists (no matter how big they are).

According a Danish media PF won the case, so I guess EMI did fuck around with something they weren't supposed to.
