Worth joining Iron Maiden fan club for presale access?

I'm curious if anyone has participated in any previous IM fan club presales and if they felt they had better access to choice seating as a result.

Fan club membership is 10 GBP (~$15 USD) by the way.

I assume DT is not going to be offering any fan packages since they are not headlining.

I joined the Iron Maiden fan club for tickets to their "Somewhere Back In Time" tour in 2008.  My seats were not "to die for" but I was pleased with them.  I had aisle seats in the 21st row at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.  I brought 3 of my friends to the show, and we split the cost of the fan club membership.  So it was only an extra $4 per ticket.  Cheaper than trying to buy good seats on StubHub or equivalent...

It is definitely possible to get comparable seats during the general public on-sale though.  It's not as if the Iron Maiden fan club has a lock on all the good seats.  So ultimately it's your decision.

Another possible benefit of the Iron Maiden fan club is their "First To The Barrier" contest, whereby they randomly choose 60 fan club members per show to gain early entry to the venue and secure a spot on the rail.  This only applies to venues with a GA pit.


Oh by the way, I renewed my fan club membership for this summer's tour.
