What's the estimated date of finish? Summer 2011? 

Well, during the first 2 months of the project only 5 people recorded their parts.. So yeah, I'd be surprised if it takes less than a year at the current pace

My snare drum sucks, my bottom hihat is cracked like a motherfucker, and I'm anxiously checking day by day when my college loan is gonna pop up in my bank account so I can replace!

I'm still in love with this idea, I'm just ashamed of my crappy sound and trying to do the best I can

yeah me too... i WILL send PMs today (sorry for not doing it before ) but i really doubt that people havent seen the thread since it gets bumped pretty often... i guess it was a bit too bold to try something so big!

i'm having some serious issues with pronunciation...i come out sounding like i sing "luck" instead of "lock"

i sent about 40 PMs, and in a week have gotten about 5 replies. people who read this, dont take it the wrong way, im not offended or angry at all! i think the fault is mine because i bit more off someone else's sandwich than could be chewed.

maybe later we can do a smaller/better organised cover, but i think probably the plug will be pulled in the coming weeks (or ill just leave the thread here to gather dust)!

and if this doesnt happen, sorry to those who already put time and effort into getting their parts done and doing solos.. but ill have you know i still have your .zips and enjoy watching them occasionally

I really want to do this by my hi hats have been broke for a while and the parts I picked use them both open and closed :(

Maybe we could do something like A Rite of Passage with less people? The stems are there which makes people recording their parts a lot easier, they can just take out their instrument and do it that way

Why not just doing the remaining parts with the people who already did parts ? Would really suck if this project didn't come to an end, just like when TV shows ends after one season and no proper ending !

Yeah I agree with what Nicolacci says. I just really hope I can get a new hi hat stand in soon, I've been begging my friend for him to sell his to me.

I think it's a pity this won't happen, but as The Kid said a few posts above I saw it coming as well...
