Portnoy I'm shocked there's no footage of this on You Tube....??? (you guys are slippin!) That's because I wasnt there shooting it for everyone. As I mentioned to you on Friday when I saw you at the Tama Booth, that place is TINY! I would have had to wait for hours to secure my spot in there. I'll wait until you guys play out in LA at a bigger venue to tape it =)

progordie KISS 76 I hope these shows are being documented for some sort of future official or Ytsejam dvd release for those of us not lucky enough to have attended... These shows have nothing to do with DT so I'm sure if at all they would be released through MP production and not Ytsejam records ! I believe the reason the Lazy Tomato Entertainment subdivision of Ytsejam was created specifically for Side Projects. If anything, it'll come out on that, I'm sure.

I'm amazed that John from SOAD is actually showing some degree of emotion. That dude's face is usually set in stone.

Smith, Dolmayan, and Lang? Darn lucky MP... Pfuntner I'm amazed that John from SOAD is actually showing some degree of emotion. That dude's face is usually set in stone. Hehe, yeah. In interviews he reminds me of a broken refrigerator, kinda.

Carmine Appice and MP are the only ones that I can ID out of that whole bunch. How about a roster?

Chad Smith (RHCP/Chickenfoot) is next to Mike. Steve Smith (Journey) is the bald guy all the way to the right in the back. Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall) is the guy in the Zappa shirt. The guy on the bottom right is Joe Bergamini. He was a senior at my high school when I was a freshman. He was in the Broadway company for the Billy Joel show 'Movin' Out'.

I just found this online quoting the full list of the names of the drummers in the picture: From left (standing): Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, "Uncle" Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, monster clinician Thomas Lang, metal wizard Derek Roddy, [company co-founder] Rob "Papa" Wallis, Pink's Mark Schulman, rock legend Carmine Appice, percussion guru Pete Lockett, [company co-founder] Paul "Papa" Siegel, and the great Steve Smith. Sitting: Human drum machine Jojo Meyer, double bass ace Jason Bittner, Drummer's Collective polyrhythm professor Jason Gianni, Galactic beatmaster Stanton Moore, and editor "Cousin" Joe Bergamini.
