Cannot believe the good news! My dog made about 4 miraculous comebacks after being dealt some harsh blows. In fact, most recently (about a year ago) he was diagnosed with a terminal disease (not sure what it was called) where his body would continue to shut down. We were told that he would most likely not live beyond two weeks. But, as luck would have it, he bounced back and lived the rest of his life healthy and active. As emotional as this is for me to type, it's comforting to hear that Bongo seems to be doing well. My vibes are with her and the Portnoy family.

Losing a pet is horrible! Im a dog-lover myself and have grown up with a dog in the house. I remember the dog we had when I was young and was growing up. She was 16 years old when she was not well and my dad had to put her to sleep. I was devastated. Cried and cried, did not go to school or anything. A dog is really a family member, and losing it is like losing a brother or sister. It sucks! Best of wishes to the Portnoys. The spirit carries on, Bongo!

Portnoy Today was an incredibly tough day in the Portnoy home...my beloved dog Bongo is VERY ill and took a very quick and rapid decline.. I spent the day in the emergency room with her instead of flying to LA for NAMM (I plan on flying to LA tomorrow unless she has another setback)...and myself, Marlene, Melody and Max are devistated... Please keep my baby in your thoughts and prayers.... Cancer SUCKS!!! This is my 4th year in a row with a loved one battling this horrible disease... MP PS - just saw the inquiry on how old she is: She is 13 and a half....we've had her longer than we've had Melody & Max...and as most of you probably realize by the fact that her portrait is tattooed on me, she is absolutely as precious as another child to me....indeed "Man's Best Friend"... Mike, I really do wish you all the best with Bongo. I know what its like to lose a dog from cancer as I lost mine a couple of years back at the age of 13 and a half. I lost my best friend and I still miss him to this day. Regards Jet

Sorry to hear about the news MP:( Hang in there and I wish you and your family peace, love and comfort. Remember all dogs go to heaven so Bongo is doing just fine!

She was born on March 12th, 1996. I got my Queenie on that same date in 2008. May the baby girl RIP. Sending positive vibes to the Portnoy family.
