Nicolien! Congratulations, Wow, Thank You, Wow, and ... Wow. I totally remember the first day you posted the work in progress and have been avidly checking your deviant art page every couple of days and been consistently impressed with every single piece you've put out. (Though secretly wishing there was an update to the Mike Portnoy one!) I have to say, the final product is worth every day waited and I'm sure means an incredible amount to you! I can't speak for Mike, but what an incredible gift you've given him (and his fans, and your fans!)

I hope you enjoy good health for many, many decades to come and that your work can be appreciated by many fans of the band, and art in general; your talent is incredible! :)

P.S.: I've been staring at the drawing for the past five minutes or so and keep finding amazing 'little details' that give the drawing that much more emotion! I can't get over how much I love it! And your signature is super awesome ;)

You have such an amazing talent girl, these are surely the best drawings of Mike I've ever seen..I know, I keep telling this, but it's like they get more stunning each time

after seeing this picture, posting, them coming back again to see it got me thinking. Why doesnt this forum have an art thread we we can post stuff? this picture really inspired me to have a go, although mine may be a bit abstract (insert jackson pollock painting here) lol
