Mike's Drawing - finally finished

Dude I have visited this thread about 6-7 different times to just look at your drawing again because it is beautiful. It is just absolutely impressive. I hope you do this as a living making money because I have been around some top of the line artists and your drawing is just as good as the stuff I've seen them draw.

One a side note I drew a picture of Mike in MS Paint with only primary colors using my non dominant hand but I won't post it because yours is slight better. :)

Joking aside, your drawing is just amazing. Great job dude!

Anyhoo... Gosh, I just don't know what to say. Your enthusiasm is probably the best birthday present I could wish for these days (I'm turning 22 on December 31st).

While I was at my other computer I noticed the image I posted was too dull and flat looking, while the original drawing is full with strong contrasts. I got a new scan, which looks far better this way in my opinion... :)

I'll try to figure out who took the original photo which I used for the left side of the drawing. So when I get his/her permission, I could get a few prints of this particular sketch if you guys and gals like to get some.

Since a few asked me about it: drawing is both my hobby and my job. It's hard to work on my own projects because I have so many commissions to do, but this one of Mike has always been on my mind. It's also the first I drew on a larger scale than usual (this one's about 30x40 cm big).

I might start with a John Petrucci project next month, and also a few other musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Matthew Bellamy, James Hetfield and the like. Gotta collect a couple of photos first (read: research for a few months)

God, I wish someone'd step forward and tell us his beard was more blue than Mike's. I'd laugh so hard. Not because his beard was more blue though, just because he's telling us.

That is by far the best drawing I have ever seen in my life.  I still don't believe the left side could have been drawn.  It's so freakin' good it's mind blowing!

The difference between dogs & grannies and my drawing is that I spent about 60 hours in putting this together (although... a granny might need 60 hours to play TGP). Anyhoo, you know what I mean. Still I knew my chances for getting a comment from MP himself was less than 0% so the more honoured I feel that I actually got a comment after all.
