Just counted my Steam library and I have 42 games. I've completed 18 of them and have started another 4. Sigh. I need to finish these games first.

^^ That is the exact problem I have with games these days. I almost never buy new games when they come out or even when they have amazing sales because I'm too backlogged on previous games I haven't had time to play. I still have games I bought from last year's steam sales I've hardly touched.

I personally have no hurry to play new games right of the bat, I usually wait for them to go on sale. Sorry but not paying 50 euros or more for a game. Just got the Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition for 3 euros, one of my favorite adventure games if not THE favorite.

I'm that way about most games (which is why I hadn't picked up Mass Effect 2 and Portal 2 before this sale), but there are a select few titles that I will buy on release day. For example, I've preordered Assassin's Creed: Revelations and can't wait for Steam to tell me it's available for download.

Noob indeed, I've only begun buying from steam recently since I got a computer capable of playing them all at max settings.

I bought: Mass Effect 1 Mass Effect 2 Test Drive Unlimited 2 Portal 2 Monkey Island 1 + 2 all for 26 euro! I always wanted to play these games, but never had the time (I only played Monkey Island on my iPhone). At these priced, I simply had to buy it!

hehe. I checked out the sale and for sure I would be buying something, but then checked my library and i have at least 10 games I barely touched yet. So I only downloaded the Heroes of Might and Magic free demo. Heck I've only had Battlefield 3 for 2 weeks and really didn't put many hours into it. Though that is another discussion. (way to COD much of it pfff)
The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Yes. May I see it? ...No.

Serious Sam HD 1 and 2 are on sale for 90% off. I HIGHLY recommend these games to anyone who wants a shooter that focuses on pure fun over gritty realism. (Playing through the new one now. )

Here's my strategy for getting the most out of these sales. ONLY go for the super discounts until the last day, then browse through everything else. I still remember getting torchlight for $10 the day after it was $5.... only for it to drop down to $5 on the last day. I was so mad.

Serious Sam 3 is 50% off, and Serious Sam HD gold pack is 90% off... I cannot recommend these games enough for anyone who loves blasting the hell out of random monsters and aliens. One of the most fun (And difficult) first person shooters I've played in a long time.

Got the Jedi Knight Collection, Mass Effect 1+2 and Knights of the Old Republic (one of my all time favorite games). Of course I realize that I will never have enough time to play all of these games.
