I for one hope they do an abridged version of The Whirlwind.  Maybe sprinkle out different parts of it throughout the set.   But hey I'll take whatever I can get.

I just feel like doing "The Whirlwind" full monty takes away too much time in the set.   But hey what do I know.

I'll be happy with whatever I'll get, when I'll see them live, but I'd be surprised, if they won't play The Whirlwind in its entirely.
Disappointed I would be, if they wouldn't play Stranger In Your Soul and Duell With The Devil.

It love it more, if they'd play BAF in its entirely than The Whirlwind, but as said before I really thinks that it's VERY likely they'll play The Whirlwind. At least it would make sense.

Considering this is "an evening with..." show, I am expecting set one to be "The Whirlwind" in its entirety and two to three epics in set two/encore (hopefully one of them will be "All of the Above") and two or three shorter songs (i.e. We All Need Some Light, maybe a song from the bonus disc of The Whirlwind). I am expecting no covers at this show...

I just figured it was common "knowledge" that each show would see The Whirlwind in its entirety. Maybe a foolish assumption, but it seems likely in my mind.

Either way, this show will be KICK ASS. (though I'd love to see Whirlwind performed in its entirety.

I've been thinking about how we could reach more people with The Haiti Projekt (I've already been bugging bands' webmasters to feature the whole thing in their news sections...) and I realized that there's something I could do myself - get some promo flyers printed and hand them out at the upcoming TA tour! Now of course I will only be at one or two shows in Germany, but maybe we can get more people on board with that idea and spread the word at several more of those upcoming shows? With tracks by Transatlantic's main writers Neal Morse and Roine Stolt we should find quite a few people there who might be interested this compilation.

So, anyone here willing to help out in some way? :)

I fear it might already be too late for this to be set up for the US tour dates, but I'd love to be proven wrong about that. The European leg of the tour begins on May 4, so there's still plenty of time to prepare everything.

The played "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" at some of the BAF shows for an encore.  I can see them pulling out "The Return of The Giant Hogweed"  on this tour.   That would be cool....

Hopping a plane for Cali this weekend, & am super excited. 1st time in Frisco. 1st time seeing Transatlantic. First time hanging with my brother since he got married over 10 years ago. A lotta 1st's being knocked out in the next 72 hours. We are definitely caught in the Whirlwhind!!!   :-)

Sitting up tonight, and watching the Making of The Whirlwind DVD, getting psyched for the upcoming show. I haven't watched this since I first got the album, and didn't know any of the material prior. Looking back now, after the album has been out for 6+ months, and I've had time to digest all 77 minutes, it's amazing to watch these four guys create music together. Seeing the progression of what was hashed out in April of last year, to what eventually wound up on tape to be released, it's absolutely awesome to watch the magic of these 4 players making music together. I wish my jam sessions with my friends were this inspired!!! Needless to say, I'm rather looking forward to this weekend's show in Frisco!!!   :-)

Holy shit!  I'm going to the show in SF tomorrow night, and just listened to Whirlwind for the first time... today!  I don't know what they have in store, but that's easily enough time to play The Whirlwind and All of the Above (my favorite song of theirs by far).

Ok, so we now know it's a 3 hour show, which is 180 minutes... now, figure all of The Whirlwind will cover about 80 minutes, which then leaves about 100 minutes for the rest of the show... I would think that SIYS and AOTA are absolute guarantees, which would take up about 55 minutes. This leaves about another 45 minutes. They could do a few things with these 45 minutes- they could play Mystery Train and Duel with the Devil, which would just about cover the time; or they could maybe forego Duel with the Devil and do a trio of Mystery Train/We All Need Some Light and maybe one other new song like "Spinning"... whatever they choose, I can't freaking wait till next Fri! My most anticipated concert in a long time.

Just to give this one last shot... Is anyone driving to the Montreal show from Burlington, VT (or somewhere nearby)? I have Greyhound tickets already but I will miss the last 30 minutes of the show in order to make the return bus (leaves at 11:05). If anyone can offer a ride back to Burlington after the show, that would be amazing. I will contribute gas money and entertainment! Please message me if you can help.

Now THIS makes me happy.  I'll be avoiding the setlists as best as I can and i was hoping the show would be 3 hours as I know MP is very capable of that... I wasn't sure about the other guys though.  I guess this answers my question.  Man Friday cannot come soon enough.
