Thanks a lot, for supporting us, Rhino! Very appreciated!

@WDD: Well, yeah... i kinda understand what you're sayin'... Singers tend to cause some controversy quite often and are "a matter of taste" to many people. I mean even JLB has to face some serious criticism on a regular basis and there are always people who love him as a singer and some who don't...
It's a pity that Nicki's voice turns you off quite a bit, but i appreciate your honesty and yeah, that's totally okay, man... :) can't please everyone...

Hey guys, some great great news ahead!

First and foremost: We will play a superb gig in september! The big Prog-Train comes to our hometown and we gladly announce, that we will share a stage with such superb Prog-Acts like ANDROMEDA, HAKEN and some funky dudes called RELOCATOR among others. Is that like incredible or what? We think so and we're SUPER-hyped about it! For the full Line-Up, Tickets and general info check out:
      www.generation-prog.com (german site)
      http://www.facebook.com/GenerationProg (english site)
A work-in-progress version of the poster loooks like this:

Album-kitchen has been quite busy also lately and we are hitting the studio very very soon! Our recent BLOG-Post says:

"We’ll hit the studio at the end of June, of course starting with drums and working our way along until we have reached the epic vuvuzela choir. ... Additionally, we are quite excited that the mixing and mastering duties will be handled by a not so nameless gentleman, whose identity will not be revealed right now. Nevertheless, we believe that this will rock pretty damn hard."

Well, that sounds quite good, doesn't it? Check out our latest BLOG on our website, to learn some more stuff: www.effloresceonline.com

We're pretty hyped guys and hope you are, too! Exciting times ahead!

COOL!  Do I see some Samson Large Diaphragm Condensor MICs there on the overheads?  They look just like mine.

i believe that are two "k2" from rode as far as i can trust my mighty list here. :) but i guess they work very similar, right? The drums sound pretty good actually, even "naked".

Yeah usually those will be omnidirectional large diaphragm condensers.....I know what you mean about the "naked" sound too.....I still have all of the naked drum tracks for my album.  It's amazing how much different the isolated drums sound after they've been produced.

I wanted to take a swipe at mixing them myself, so I gave it a shot last week - it gave me a whole new respect and appreciation for the art of mixing, especially drums, because it ain't easy.

Good stuff. And I gotta say that both your avatars are so similar at first glance that I always confuse the 2 of you for a split second, lol.

The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
                  Yes.
                  May I see it?
                  ...No.

@KNH: Yeah, mixing in general is a really really tough job and drums in particular, i fully agree. But having a good sounding kit and a good record of it surely helps a lot. As always: shit in, shit out! ;)

@Spiritus: I'm sure that i'll be able to help you out quite soon. As soon as our Album-Artwork is revealed to be exact! ;)

If this album is gonna be as good as your EP, it's going to be stuck in my car's cd player for a while I'm afraid. :D

Thankies, Frank! I guess you'll hear some tunes from the album at Generation prog in less than 4 weeks and decide yourself if we'll get some airplay in you car! ;)
