Looks like 2010 is going to be my dream year of tours. I'm praying to the gods, there will be a MN date.

I was expecting a Devy headlining tour, but this would be pretty damn cool.

One thing I did realize about this show. The names are in alphabetical order. It could be in a different lineup order.

I know it was a joke, but I can't picture BTBAM, Cynic, or Scale The Summit doing that since all three bands have played with DT recently. Devin most likely isn't even in MP's radar. I don't remember Mike ever mentioning Devin Townsend.

That is one Hell of a line-up.  I said in another thread I wouldn't travel to England to see just BTBAM, but with that line-up I would certainly make the effort.

BTBAM is touring europe starting in February with Lamb of god, job for a cowboy and august burns red.

I wonder how many shows they will do with Devin and STS?

I thought of that too. Is BTBAM touring with anyone else in December? maybe it's a December/January tour. Or maybe a 3 week US tour or something similar?

I think you are right that it would have to be a december & january tour as the tour with veil of maya and animals as leaders goes until the end of november. Then europe in february.

I am super pumped for the cd release party on halloween! less than a week until the great misdirect release date and i will have only 5 days to digest it before the show.

I hope they announce some Florida dates, but man, Atlanta isn't too far...

It's been flooded in a lot of metal forums. The venue on one forum confirmed it a few hours ago.

If anything, they are not thinking "fuck you" to me or DT - but rather "thank you" to me for exposing/sharing them with our audience and are now joining forces to capitalize on it and continue to develop on their own...
 
Anyways, it's indeed a GREAT bill....I love all the bands and artists on it (musically and personally), I consider them all friends of mine and wish them all the best....

Very cool guy and I admire his artistic vision as well....

I've been looking for more info about this tour and the only thing i can find is over at the scale the summit site they announced "something killer lined up for January". Sounds like a go......

I emailed both BTBAM and Scale The Summit. They have been good responding to my personal emails any time that I have sent one. So maybe I'll be able to get an answer from them tonight or tomorrow?

I mean, DT has already brought a lot of my favorite bands with them, but to be able to see a giant tour like that, capped off with DT, might be the greatest concert ever.

Until that day comes, and as long as there is an MN. This is an amazing Progressive Metal tour.

It would be the greatest show I'd ever see. But the only problem with that for me is, the only place around here that would be capable of pulling off an all day show like this only allows Country Music (MN/WI fans know the one I'm talking about). So unless they worked out a deal somewhere else, they'd be skipping this area.

But I wanna focus (haha Cynic pun) on happy tours like this one.

I think I had a dream I was at a show with this lineup (well minus STS) and honestly I still am shock from hearing this.

I never go to concerts but the two artists I have wanted to see more than any are Cynic and Devin Townsend.  Now they are together.... please, whatever deity is out there, point them towards Wisconsin.  I'm too poor to go anywhere else.

If there only stop around here is Wisconsin, I'm fucked.

I only live an hour and 15 minutes from St. Paul, MN. I live about 7 hours from Milwaukee. There's no way I can afford that.
