I'd much rather see Devy Headlining.  I enjoy BTBAM ok, but they didn't really do much for me live the time I saw them opening for Opeth.

IamMe - pretty sure Portnoy said they love him for EXPOSING them to a wider audience, not making their careers or anything like that. Which I would go out on a limb and say that theyre probably pretty appreciative, especially Scale the Summit.

you just said exactly what I said. it's irrelevant anyway because there was no purpose for him, who obviously holds a lot of reputation in this forum, it being his namesake, to go and single out someone for a harmless joke with a damning post "I know this is a joke... but I can't believe how stupid this is" 


there is obviously no reason to condemn what you know is obviously a joke made in good intention unless you're damaged by it on a deeper level, and this is obviously the case.

Wow, this thread took a turn in the wrong direction. And I thought I was upset about this tour not coming to Minnesota.

I don't think it was wrong for Mike to accuse you of being on Blabbermouth. There are so many people who act the same way that you were that are on there bitching about every single story that pops up there.

As I put in a different thread. There's a huge difference between giving critisisim, saying you don't like something, and being an asshole. 9/10 of Blabbermouth kids are the 3rd option. Most of us here try to stay in the 1st or 2nd option because we try to show respect...at least most of the time anyways.

Case in point. If your on a musician's forum that you know the musician actually goes on, reads, and responds to threads, show some class!

respect is kind of a two way street. when someone acts disrespectful toward a member for no tangible reason it's hard to show "class" in return. 

btw saying that a post is "so stupid" certainly isn't giving criticism in a classy manner either. is mike above the etiquette that you guys set here?

It may say "Administrator" under Mike's name, but there are others who do that. Mike is the owner. He pays the bills that keeps this site running. Actually, only some members stress civility and class. You obviously don't.
