Pam was totally overdone in that episode. I can see her freaking out with finding out about Michael and her mom, but not THAT much. I also wish they would have shown Jim and Pam in a somewhat happy state after they got married. The first time we see them married, (after all the seasons of climactic build-up for them), they both seem weighed down and don't seem that happy, and Pam was an overdone jerk. I can sympathize with why she was frustrated, but how she was totally disrespectful and nasty in their workplace (especially in the conference room) seemed totally overdone to me.

I will counter with. . . . . . .  What if he was dating your Mom  

haha don't get me wrong, I think Pam deserves to be upset. But c'mon, going out and screaming at the top of her lungs in a parking lot, and being a total jerk to Michael in front of everybody saying stuff that would get anyone fired. Just seemed a bit too much, especially considering her usual calm character.

Thoughts on last night's episode:

I laughed really hard throughout...I loved the whole Jim & Micheal thing, when Micheal is bringing himself down to try to stop from being mocked, but goes too far. This show rules.

Haha nice episode indeed. Loved the cold halloween opening. Bookface LOL!

The digs everyone had on Michael were great. I too thought the Jim & Michael parts are working well even though I was very skeptical of it at the beginning.

Good run so far.

Koi story! Did you find Nemo? And Dwight's nose being too short, haha! Only thing missing was Toby, Im sure the digs on him wouldve been great.

Am I the only one who finds the new receptionsit.....shall I say......Hot. Granted she is not the most beautiful woman in the world but there is something about her that just really intrigues me and does it for me. It's very strange. As for the episode, I thought it was pretty funny and the writers have definately stepped it back up after (IMO) a hit and miss season last year. When Dwight was trying to explain how Jim was actually his freind because he is his own worst enemy and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.....that was pretty funny.

I agree this season is a return to form. I have laughed numerous times throughout each episode, not so last season. Creed is SO great this season.

Oh, Erin's a cutie, but they're developing her character as an absolute idiot (more so even than Kelly).  "Marlon... Wayans?"  Dumb girls have an "attractability ceiling" as it were.  Of course I'm sure in real life she's totally articulate heh

I thought tonight's episode was hilarious. This is becoming my favorite show.

LMAO! Yah, this season is hilarious, don't know what the writers were doing last year with the hit and miss episodes, but this season has been great.

I would have to say this has to be one of my favorite episodes of the show so far, Andy was expecially funny this ep.

Dwight fighting himself was hilarious and also at the end when they all shot each other and Dwight was thrusting blood from his chest.....

OMG the single most cringe-inducing episode ever... wow... I am in awe.

I know this is a comedy show and all so why am I so upset that Dwight and now Ryan are out to get Jim? This episode was great though. Michael promising kids he'd pay for thier college. Ha

Agreed...I couldn't watch for most of the episode....It was too horrible to imagine...

And he got them laptop batteries?  WTF?  "Wait, they're lithium!".....Oh, that just killed me....

And while I know that Dwight constantly being on the bottom is unfair, I didn't like to see Jim get one-upped by Dwight....That was not cool...Jim should be smarter than this...I don't like the idea of turning Jim into the next Michael...Don't dumb down the character.

I agree with all the comments. I was hoping so hard that Michael would find a way out of it, but nope. That was painful. And hilarious.

I think the Dwight vs. Jim is great though. Maybe Ryan will get fired again. I wonder if B.J. Novak's character is somewhat absent at times just to give him more time for writing...

Definitely the most painfully awkward episode since the "Dinner Party" episode with Jan and Michael.

This episode once again showed the inconsistency that has plagued many episodes like this. Dwight's maniacal plan is fine but I think it was shown rather poorly, I mean when they start the episode with Jim telling Michael that he's not allowed in the employee of the month evaluation, seeing Jim not being able to explain the same thing when he won was really cringeworthy.

I will say the opening was awesome with the wittle baby talk LOL. There were some great laughs in this episode even as cringe worthy as some moments were, they need to give it a rest with Jim turning into Michael. It doesnt seem to work at many levels.

I'm one of the biggest fans of The Office but the last two episodes I felt were fucking horrible. The clip show was definitely the worst one of the entire series and this last one with Sabre did not have me laughing too much. I hope they bring little more, or actually a lot more funny back to the show.

I got plenty of laughs from this episode. I loved David Wallace's breakdown. And that the daycare guy actually calls Jim and Pam out on not actually being as charming as they think. I love those characters but I also love that they're so fallible.

I'm about 3 quaters of my way into season 5. I'm looking forward to season 6. I really love the US version of the office. I got into it in Dec and ive been watching the hell out of it lol.

If it doesn't work out, there's always the Army....We'll put him in the infantry.

As a proud first-time papa, I will be using the heck outta that line.

So back to regular weekly episodes at this point.  The hour long episode was good last night. Looks like they're trying to reignite the Dwight-Angela affair. The contract was hilarious.

That episode was gooood stuff.  Anywhere from Jims reaction to the guy who helped Pam try to get her baby to latch on to Michael freaking out when they are about to leave to go to the hospital

I was really expecting the baby to be born at the office (which seems corny) once seeing Pam's attitude (delusion) from The PPD. I am glad they did not go that way!


The part I enjoyed most was Dwight remodeling the kitchen 

Just saw the Mentor webisodes. Not as good as the primadonna video ones but good enough.

The episode was ok, some funny parts. My favorite was Pam breast feeding the wrong baby and the lactation nurse, being a man, showing Pam how to properly do it with Jim feeling uneasy. 

I thought Michael was hilarious in this one. "You can't park here sir" *throws keys across street into woods*..."I just did." *walks away as he glances at camera with smiling satisfaction. lol

hahaha! I love this show.

I almost died when Jim and Pam got the wrong baby.

Yea Michael was hilarious saying "I love you too....as a good friend" to Pam's mom. LOL

Opening bit was great too with Dwight wanting a baby. I really do wonder one thing about how the writers are characterizing Angela. Up until mid season 4 they had her as an odd and religious person and later in the season and rest of 5 she had this slutty manipulating personality.

The "wrong baby" part was absolutly hilarious!

Lactation nurses are women pretty much 99.9% of the time... kinda broke the suspension of disbelief for me and the wife... but a great episode overall

Interesting you say that.  I think part of what made the UK Office finale so powerful was that the emotional core of the show, Tim and Dawn's "relationship," was the final plot point and came down to a very suspenseful "will-she-or-won't-she" nailbiter, after which the audience had closure and the story was told.  What can they do now on the US Office?  Jim and Pam are married.  They have the baby.  Michael Scott is... himself.  Major character arcs: nobody cares much about Andy and Erin, nobody cares much about Dwight and Angela, and that's... basically it.  Minor characters?  Their arcs are subject to episode-level treatment and can begin or end at any time.  What more emotional punch can the show pack?  My concern is: not much!  And I think your comment summed that up pretty concisely!

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not one of those import snobs who thinks the non-American version is always better.  The US Office has been better overall in almost every way.  But the UK Office, at this point, has an ending that I don't think the US Office can beat.

Considering where the season left off, I think the main plot point for next season should be the reuniting of Michael and Holly.  Not only does it add a major romance arc, but it also allows for some potential classic Toby moments, since he and Holly are both HR people.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love anything involving Andy.  They just need to get him singing more like he did in Season 3.

The Dwight/Angela thing is getting a bit old.  I'd much rather just have Dwight end up dating Isabel exclusively and rubbing it in Angela's face a lot.

I still enjoy the show.  It's nearing its end, sure, but I'm always happy with it.

I agree with pretty much everything you said about the US version, I haven't seen the UK version but they stopped it at the time they felt they had to. The US version has been stretched out for too long now. I think The Office is one of the highest rated comedies of NBC so it makes sense for them to continue it.

I'm a massive fan of this show, season 6 was up and down... I look forward to the next season whenever that pops up. I noticed Steve Carrell has hinted he wants to leave the show after his contract expires, im hoping that if season 7 is the final season, it goes out with a huge bang lol.

This is true, he really makes the show. Even though Andy is freakin hilarious. But, this is my opinion, I think that the show has been in decline for the past two seasons at least. It has still been entertaining as hell but has not been nearly as fulfilling as the earlier seasons.
   The time has definately come......

I really honestly hope they just decide to end it. I agree, the last two seasons have been really hit or miss, with them overall not being very good at all. Some funny episodes but things have been pretty bad.

 I just hope they don't try to keep it going or give a spin off a shot. Just let it go....
