Dream Theater Book - Lifting Shadows - Ordering And Book Details

I still haven't received an email about a discount because I ordered the Original Version.  I contacted Essential Works through the website over a week ago, but haven't heard anything.  What can I do Rich?

There is a form to fill in at the website - in the News section.
Not sure if you did this the first time around, but send it to them again in case they didn't get it.

Also the draft covers for the book are up on the site under the News Section.

Forgot to mention that these are the covers for the Classic Edition. The limited edition is obviously leather bound (ie leather on front and back covers with gold leaf text)

Serious cash for those. I think there were 6500 or so manufactured. Makes you wonder what the 1000 paperback copies or the upcoming 2000 copies of the leather one might be worth in a few years time.

Just ordered my special edition. I'm looking forward to it. I missed out on the first edition of the book (I ordered it from Fanfire, but got an email a few days later that their stock had run out, so I was worried I'd miss out on the book altogether until the second edition was announced).

I probably come across as a complete tool, but hey, what the hell . . .

The expected release date for this is around the end of November and the text etc is heading on over to the printers today. For whatever reason (recession etc) sales are quite slow, so it looks like the print run for both versions of the second edition will be a lot lower than the first, 2 book edition.

Thanks for the bump, Rich! This just reminded me to pre-order the Limited Edition.

I'm fortunate enough to have Progator lend me his book. Started yesterday on the bus!!

This is good news. I ordered 2 copies... one for me, and one for my dad as a Christmas present. It sounds like there's a good shot that the books will be in my possession by Christmas, if the release date is the end of November. Fingers crossed!!

Can't wait.

Still no email from Essential Works.  I sent them 2 messages requesting an email with the discount.  I sent them my past order # and everything.  I definitely want the book, but also want the promised discount for those who pre-ordered the last one.
