Regarding Neal, the trend of pseudo-Christian lyrics in TA started with the entirety of the second album.

'Zactly. My intro to Neal was Bridge Across Forever, and when I found out later that his solo career was Christian, I wasn't the slightest bit surprised.

But it was a different kind of lyrics than for example on Testimony, wouldn't you agree?

I haven't yet heard Testimony, but from the reviews, it seems overtly religious. I'll admit that it takes a little thinking to find those themes in TA.

Testimony is definitely overtly religious in nature - but not preachy imo. I'm an atheist and it is one of my favourite albums ever. Do not be put off by the subject matter. The music is far too good to allow minor shit like that to deprive you of a potentially euphoric musical experience!

Oh, I doubt the lyrics will bother me. I just haven't gotten around to ordering the album yet

Probably something to do with your Internet Service Provider. I suggest using a proxy, but since its an online transaction, that's a BIG no-no while using proxies.

Well, if your ISP is the same as gaz, its probably because the site is blocked by your ISP. Do contact them when possible.

Pre-ordered the box-set from Radiant.  I think this is the first time I've ever ordered CDs from overseas.  Hopefully it goes well.

I threw Shaming of the True in my order as well - I've been a naughty boy, listening to a downloaded version of the album for a while, so I figured now would be a good time to buy it.  Anyone out there who hasn't put their order in to Radiant yet, make sure and put Shaming of the True in there, as it's a fucking marvellous album.

I think most people would be on your side too.

But to me, there's nothing worse than when a section from "The Healing Colours of Sound" or "Six Degrees..." comes on my ipod in shuffle. I absolutely cannot listen to it out of context and unless these are very disparate tracks with poor transitions, I might join them together myself.
I've had no problem sitting through 3 hour long movies, I don't see how this should be any different.
In fact I think it would be so much more brave of them to release it as one track, you know, nobody has done that. It doesn't really stand up as a 77 minute song if it's split up like that IMO.
But you can't please everyone, and I think more people would be complaining if it was one big track. Oh well.

To anyone disliking the split into separate tracks, I posted this in "The Incident" thread, but I'll repeat it here since I think it is a very simple solution. 

Just rip the CD using Exact Audio Copy:  import the track listing from the remote database, select all the tracks, and say "Copy Image & Create Cue Sheet ->Compressed".  I think this might work with select individual tracks too (I've only done this with full CDs).  It will rip the entire thing, encoded as 1 file (mp3 or ogg etc.)  No gaps or anything between tracks.  It will be EXACT to the CD, and the Cue sheet still lets you jump between tracks in players that support them.  So if your ipod is on random, it will treat all tracks as a single song.

Another possible option is use Foobar2000:  create a playlist and select "convert to single file". 

iTunes can do that too. Select all of the tracks on the CD (before ripping) and then go up to the advanced menu and pick "Join CD Tracks" It'll then treat them as a single track when ripping.

If you get it digitally though you'll need to use your own audio editor to paste them all together.

of course, now I feel a bit dumb about not ordering @ radiant BUT by now the first 200 orders will have taken place and I wouldn't have made it anyway because I wasn't at the computer for almost two days PLUS with amazon I will most likely receive my shipment 23rd dead and with radiant it would take a couple of days more PLUS I've been spending lots and lots of money on radiant so I don't feel too guilty.

I dunno. The first few hundred pre-orders of Lifeline were signed by Neal, and I ordered a few days before the release not expecting to get a signed one, but alas, I did!

Although Whirlwind is definately the more anticipated release, the cutoff may have been reached already. And even then, it's only a chance to win.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and... uh, ruin a stupid anecdote. I think that's how it goes...

Yeah, I'm going to say no to this as well. I recognized all the songs being played in between the sets at the PN09 show I went to.

Mike had some tight quarters to record. We may hear his elbows banging the wall :)
