I thought I heard that despite SPV's demise, InsideOut was actually hanging in there still. I could be wrong, but there's nothing super weird about The Whirlwind being on IO. Of course, I don't care what label. I'm going to order it off the internet and have tons of fun with it no matter who put it out.

And 77 minutes is pretty awesome. Neal's going to beat his previous record by another twenty minutes. Yeesh. The guy is one crazy boy.

I cannot wait for this, but this is what I just cannot understand... WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would buy just the single cd edition of The Whirlwhind, when there are 4 additional original tracks on the deluxe edition? Makes no sense- to the point where I'd be amazed if the regular edition sold even ONE copy! If you're a TA fan, and you plan to buy this release, how is it remotely possible NOT to buy the limited edition? It's one thing when a band releases a limited edition where the bonus CD has just covers or live stuff and you don't want to splurge on that... but if the bonus CD is considered part of the album and actually contains new songs, I don't see who wouldn't see that as the ONLY option....

Jeez, if they ever record another album they'll have to release it on DVD if they attempt to top that, in order to fit it on one disk.

Will definitely be getting this as soon as it is available. This is definitely a great year in music. And hopefully they tour, although I doubt they'd come anywhere near me. But I can still hope for a DVD if they tour. Playing a 77 minute song would be pretty insane.

Well, I for one hope not. Either way, I'm ripping it as one track. Not because it's proggier or hipper or whatever, but just because I never like having songs separated. I might for the new PT, because that seems to be just a connected series of songs with a flow but no real cohesion. A Neal epic, though, always has cohesion, no matter what insults you might want to lobby at the fellow.
