I hope to get mine today. I ordered the deluxe edition plus So Many Roads, plus his latest worship disc. I live in Indianapolis, which is not too far from Nashville, plus Indy is a postal hub, so we tend to get things faster.

Watching the DVD right now and the biggest thing I noticed is what a driving force Pete was in the studio. The guys then did a little section mentioning what a force he was and how many of his ideas are on the record. By the way, it's freakin' awesome. I listened to it twice last night.

My copy arrived in the mail last night. I didn't check the inbox until this morning so it was a pleasant and almost unexpected surprise. I was guesstimating that it would arrive on or after Tuesday.

GOT MINE TODAY!!! Did anyone else who ordered with So Many Roads only get The Whirlwind? I know the SMR release date isn't till next month, but I recall Radiant said it would be sent out early if ordered in the bundle.

Blast. I don't know why I'd hoped it would be here yet... I'm nervous it won't come at all, because there was a lot of weirdness when I ordered it off Radiant Records. Cheri confirmed that I had purchased one, but I never got any real confirmation email nor the free download or anything, and to even get that little affirmation from the folks there took three or four emails... Yeesh, I hope it gets here soon.
The problem is, or rather one of the problems, for there are many, a sizable number of which are continually clogging up the civil, commercial, and criminal courts in all areas of the Galaxy, and especially, where possible, the more corrupt ones, this.

Sweet, got my copy of the Deluxe Version and SMR in the mail today!!!!! Sucks I'll have to wait till tomorrow night to watch/listen to any of it. Stupid work.
A bad DT album (as if such a thing will ever exist) is 100x better than anyone elses good album.

Deluxe Editon came yesterday. Watched the DVD last night. Listened to the bonus disc this morning. I love everything about the packaging. A lot of love went into this. It really is the Transatlantic family album. Just like Mike to toss out that 2010 tour tease. I guess I'll expose myself to The Whirlwind tomorrow and maybe So Many Roads later next week.

mkaroly Got mine today- amazing album. I agree with someone who posted about Pete's bass lines- they are exceptional. This album sounds very mature and smooth and definitely has a flow to it. Excellent job all around. Definitely some Yes and Floyd influence in this. The documentary is fun too. Hopefully everyone else gets it and can enjoy it. Are you kidding me???!!! Can someone here please confirm this... What kind of Yes-ish vibe?

van Furlay Are you kidding me???!!! Can someone here please confirm this... What kind of Yes-ish vibe? Well "Spinning" (first song on disc 2) sounds EXTREMELY Yes-ish. The intro is very reminiscent of "Heart of the Sunrise", and there are a lot of Fragile-to-Relayer era Yes influences in the rest of the song (and the album) as well.

It does not shock me. I just didn't hear Yes-ish vibes on their first two releases to be honest. Or at least what is Yes-ish for me. But I have to add that I enjoy BAF a lot more than SMPTe...

The first track on disc one (after the Overture) has a bass line groove that was reminiscent of Yours Is No Disgrace; there is another bass line on disc one that reminded me of Floyd's ANIMALS (I can't remember the song on either album...maybe Sheep?). This is not a criticism by any stretch; I am so impressed with Trewavas' bass playing that it's hard to focus on any of the other parts of the song right now. This is just such an impressive piece adn I'm happy they got back together to record this album. Gets better with every listen.

Well I got 5 spins in this weekend so it's had some time to sink in. All in all I think it's a really cool record with some unbelievable parts. However, I do think it feels much more like a NM solo album on about 75%. The way the songs are constructed with recurring themes and the way NM "builds" an album, it has a recognizable feel. Lyrically it feels like a NM solo album as well. Not that it's a bad thing but I just feel of all 3 TA albums this one sounds most like a NM album with special guests. The sound is superb and I agree that the bass playing is superb. As usual Mike sounds great, both his playing and the sound of the recorded drums. Not sure where it will land against the other TA albums.

I'll always love MP on any album and he shows once again why he is untouchable on drums but the bass is unreal and steals the show for me.

Can someone confirm or deny this shipping confirmation email business? Reading through the last page of this thread is a bit confusing. As far as I know, radiant have never sent out emails for shipping confirmation. Not that i'm expecting this to arrive in the southern hemisphere for another 1-2 weeks anyway. But i'm just wondering if I should be worried.

I received an email that said, in part, that the Whirlwind special edition box sets had arrived and that the pre-orders were going to be shipped immediately. That was a week ago today. I did not receive my copy last week. But maybe they are shipping them alphabetically by last name or something and if that's the case, with a last name that starts with T I may have a few more days to go.
