3 Kick's??

So I noticed 3 kick drum's in some recent photo's posted on a site. #1 Do you have a different tuning or sound associated with it? or..
#2 Are you feelin' some sort of Alex Van Halen vibe?? ( jus Kiddin' dude.)
And yes, Im a Bassist(which would explain the corny 2nd question)
