Did ANY of you barbarians ask the forum permission before you violently clicked on the Post Message button? Did you ask the SQL server before you callously inserted your data into its tables? No. I didn't think so.
It was time, I felt, for an Agonizing Reappraisal of the whole scene.

        Guys, guys, it's satire!

No, its not.  Look at her other articles.  Its new-age astrology BS.

This was my first idea as well. You cannot underestimate the direction that new-age astrology, psychology or psychoanalysis has taken these days. I mean, was I only one who was rolling his eyes during the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?"

        FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME!!!!!

I thought of the movie as one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. My attitude towards the movie was "bleh". But then I found the lady's biography... that explained a lot, and the movie uncovered itself for what truly is: cultist bullshit.

Erm... Psychology is just studying human metal functions and behaviours.
But yeah, I didn't even watch that movie. Just reading a short summary was enough for me...

Sweet! I'm becoming a Psychologist. My work will mostly consist of field studies of people at Metal shows, purely for scientific reasons of course.

The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
          Yes.
          May I see it?

For the people saying it is satire, how in the world do you figure it is satire?

This woman is just stupid. Astrologists are forced to suspend critical thinking/logic in order to study it (which explains a lot about why most of their ideas are just plain dumb)

                        Article is wacked man!

Basically what she is saying, is that the Satellite (male) is going to explode all over the moon (female).   I see what she is trying to say!

She winks at the stars from her bed of green cheese,

This was my first idea as well. You cannot underestimate the direction that new-age astrology, psychology or psychoanalysis has taken these days. I mean, was I only one who was rolling his eyes during the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?"

Erm... Psychology is just studying human metal functions and behaviours. And "new age" psychology is just improving in these regards. It might be not fully scientific in some aspects, there might be some loonies working in the field (like everywhere), some of them might be more vocal than the rest, but just because someone who has a degree in psychology decided to speak some BS, doesn't mean you can lump the whole field and its modern development together with astrology.

But yeah, I didn't even watch that movie. Just reading a short summary was enough for me...

I agree. There is something tangiable to new-age psychology that we can benefit from. The problem lies in that those who are sane in this field are a minority. Even in WTBDWK there was ONE speaker who made sense (the guy with the fountain in the background). I liked him. He was probably the one person I would love to hear more from. The rest were loony as this woman here. Some of the topics were also somewhat understandable but again it was far out there theories which didn't seem very scientific.

What, crashing the spacecraft into the moon? It's been orbiting the moon for a long time now, and has reached the end of its life span. Bringing it back to earth isn't feasable, so they'll crash it to get one last use from the spacecraft.

FWIW, this isn’t the first time a lunar orbiter has been purposely crashed into the moon. So far there haven’t been any complaints from the moon…

Very true. The very first man-made object on the moon was crashlanded there by the russians.

Interesting that they hope to learn something about the composition of the moon.

See, I'd have thought the moon rocks that were brought back would've gone a long way toward that particular goal.  Shows how much I know...

The moon is made of more than just one material, just like earth.

I haven't seen the movie either (I heard it was quackery early on) but I wonder if the guy your talking about is Stuart Hameroff. I know he was in WTBDWK. His theory about the quantum nature of consciousness is intriguing. It's also very controversial and largely dismissed by mainstream science. But Hameroff isn't just your run of the mill quack. He knows what he's talking about and he believes in it. There are just some pesky, though valid, scientific questions that he hasn't been able to adequately answer yet.

His involvement with WTBDWK certainly hasn't helped his cause, however. And the fact that his quantum consciousness theory is extremely attractive to nutters (because it appears to suggest, though not really, a scientific basis for pseudoscience like ESP and telepathy and perhaps even clairvoyance and maybe worse) doesn't lend him a lot of credibility among mainstream scientists, fairly or unfairly.

He himself has suggested that his theory might offer a scientific basis for a belief in an afterlife.

                                                  Article is wacked man!

Basically what she is saying, is that the Satellite (male) is going to explode all over the moon (female).   I see what she is trying to say!

Check this link. The section titled Healing Sexual Energy (the third paragraph, specifically) mentions the author of the article -Ann (Satya) Harvey. You are closer to the truth than you may think.

I don't think that was him. I tried a image search and the movie has him with a desert background. The guy I'm remembering looked like he was in front of a Miami background. Or maybe i'm just mixing them up since it's been oh, 5 years since I watched the movie.

Oh noes! We're going to mess with the lady once again. And this time we're going ot do it with a bigger one.

Not only that, but the disgraceful act would be in front of everyone's eyes... And, what's worse, children (with telescopes) would witness how we're violating her! What are we going to do now?

I... see... the purpose of sending astronauts to the moon is only to see if "she" is indeed sterile... so we and other objects in the universe can hit her over and over again without feeling guilty or afraid for it!

And all these years I thought it was made of swiss cheese.

Satya strikes again, this time with an article in response to comments about the original article.  She really is just a batty old woman who doesn't live in our real world.

So I focused on my breath, and when my mind was quieter I connected to the moon, and asked her some questions. She said she didn't like it, she had had better in her life, and hopes that our next one would be manly enough. However, she also said that was a lot better than the Apollo landings touching down on her surface, which only teased her and then left her without giving her any love.

The moon generally prefers bigger impacts, but she is also excited about the human ones, because they usually come with a big load that has the potential to release a lot of energy with a proper explosion. She also likes that they orbit around her flirting with her for years before actually crashing in her, unlike most asteroids that simply pop out of nowhere, catching her off guard and then... bang!

I also talked with Venus, and she said she was jealous. She did such a good job at luring us at ancient times, and now when we're finally ready to go to her, we instead go to the easy one next-door, leaving her out in the cold. (I'm not sure she knows what this really means.)

Now I'm going to try focusing on my breath again, as I want to connect to Lauren Harris to ask her to marry me, and then connect to MP to ask him if I can join Dream Theater. I'll be back in a jiffy.
