Too bad in the 8 times I saw DT on the 8V tour I didn't get to see These Walls.  I'd take that over Prophets of War, which probably will be in the SDV category of will never see the light of day live.

But that doesn't make sense, that song was practically built for live performance...

I am not saying they were bad set lists. I just find it interesting that they played two identical set lists because  MP is always going out of his way to say back to back shows will never have the same set list and how varied their set lists are from night to night etc.

Dude, I was in Moscow on their concert. And These song was eaten by people on the"Hurrah". These songs are legends for us(DT fans). These walls - i find it boring..... Prophets of war -- O.K. it is good choise, BUT: 2 naked keyboards parties in the begining, and 2 guitar in 2nd verse - give 2 mores hands to jP and 2 more hands to JR (but then there will be no scens in other members ) and they will play it.

Ye, it is very offensive for the songs like Burning my soul, The Glass Prison, also prophets of war, Fortune in Lies, Cover my eyes, the Yste Jam - all this songs sre very cool, could be hit or just is a hit, but they are not played by DT. It is sad, But the songs in the begining of the message are LEGENDS. And there must be questions about playing them.

I thought MP said that 2 setlists were never be the same. Please tell me if i got this wrong.

Moscow and Tel Aviv have same setlist.
Leeds and Southampton have the same setlist.

Not that they won't EVER be the same, but from show to show they won't be. They usually don't ever play the same setlist twice in a row.

Besides, once BCSL comes out I'd expect there'll be more variety, and then on the second leg they'll add a few more songs.

Wierd set.  Is this for real???

Erotomania twice, then Metropolis once in the main set and again in the encore??  Were they recording the show or something???
Also, how is the medley working out. I am not a big medley fan.

Oh damn, Principal Vernon. He looks ready to crack some skulls. Oddly enough that movie was on this morning on TV.

That is pretty much the perfect short setlist, although I still wish they would add The Silent Man if they are going to play Erotomania and Voices.

I could live with that one!  But if anything would change for ProgNation....hmm, obviously ARoP isn't going anywhere, now the only question is what else will they play from BC&SL (or COULD they) with the 90min set.......

yeah.....on 2nd thought this topic probably needs to wait until Tuesday doesn't it!  then we could better discuss our best "encore medley" ideas in better detail
(....I'd be surprised if it stayed as it is now)

I don't think there will be a encore medley past tuesday. The one they are playing now is the same one I seen at Progressive Nation last year. Mike's good at not repeating like that.

If they open with ANTR, I'm gonna shit in my pants. I think I should probably avoid visiting this thread, until the show here passes... On the other hand, most likely I wouldn't resist.

Not looking forward to any other particular song from that album. TCOT is awesome, but it would go in the place of two songs from the playlist, and I'm not sure what would I trade. Though Forsaken and Constant Motion might go... Although I love Forsaken.

A Nightmare to Remember is the perfect opening track for the tour.

I imagine that opening video - from WDADU to SyC - and then we hear the storm sounds, everything is dark, people's screaming, you can only see the thunder lights flashing on stage. And then suddenly, the lights slowly fade in, you see MP beating the secret cowbell, and JR playing that creepy piano intro.
OMG, I'd die!

All that we learn this time...

That's probably the best opener idea i've heard for this tour. They need to do that.

*pats on back* Don't worry man, that little sentence alone can't describe just how cool the intro is...you'll have to hear it for yourself.

I am going to disappoint you - they have tryed to do ''the suden start'' in the begining of moscow show: when intro began and lights were slowly turning off ,there was a tight black rag on the stage. When the lights were finaly off and the rag falled down there was a darkness...... And a little screen on JR's Oasys. This litlle peace of light will save evryone of you!!!

I have just been to this concert in Munich and can't understand why they don't play Voices in its entirety. JLB was really great and nailed PMU like in '93. Better than on Download Festival. So why do they do this cruel thing to Voices (one of my favorite songs)?
JLB - yes he can!
This was my 14th DT concert (since '98) and it was one of the best.

Release date in Germany was already last Friday and the Munich concert was on the 23th, so on the official release date for the rest of the world - and no changes in the setlist.

I am going to Gelsenkirchen today, thats a 400km distance to go for me and some of my friends. I must admit that I would be slightly disappointed if we get only one song of the new record.

I know "never enough"... etc. But This will be my 17th concert since 1996, so I really hope for something new - and I think that everybody might understand it in my case. As much as I love Erotomania... I have seen this one at least 7 or 8 times - Pull me under - I have seen this one maybe even 12 times... On the other side - there are a lot of people who haven't seen them yet - it is hard to please everyone, I know that.

Anyway, I have high hopes for one more new song... otherwise this setlist does not have any potential for me to become the best DT concert ever for me.

Furthermore: Munich seems shortened?!? Is this due to the fact, that it is open air and they have an earlier curfew?? Gelselnkirchen will be an open air as well.

Is it right that Munich was like 1 hour 45 long? Thats a bit short for a DT headlining show... Berlin two years ago was a headlining open air as well and it was like 2 hours 10 minutes...

We'll see this evening in Gelsenkirchen!

I am a bit sad about the set list(s) for this summer tour so far, however, I kind of expected this would happen according to my last 2 experiences with DT shows in Budapest. That´s why I haven´t bought the ticket yet, just to wait if they include new songs to the set list once the new album is released (If they do in the coming shows, just ignore my whining here). I understand that they concentrated mainly on festivals when choosing songs for the tour, but what about the headlining shows? It´s like: "We´ve got a new record coming out at the moment and we are going to play this one song from it for you"
But I (and I believe this concerns a lot more people) have already seen most of these songs live in person (and all of them on DVDs), so what´s the point of going to see/hear them over and over again? I mean, it´s a big thing when DT comes somewhere near me, it only happens once in two or four years, and each time it´s with these festival set lists. Does anybody else feel this way about it?

PS: I still hope they include some more new ones soon and my post becomes irrelevant

Many countries have different release dates. In Germany, albums are leased on Fridays nowadays. Hence, BC&SL came out last Friday (I believe Ireland has the same release date, so does Australia). In the US, it's Tuesdays, so BC&SL was released yesterday. Perhaps you think it's unfair that our (German) release date isn't the Friday after your US date, but that's the way it is

They played ANTOR at rehersal in Munich but MP couldn't pull off some parts of it, particularly the blast bleats Over the mic he said something like "I haven't played this shit since last Octiober!"

However, he included a blast beat part in the double-time sections of PMU, and he did well in that part. I was soooo hoping for  ANTR but didn't get it yesterday, so I hope they'll play it for you.
