Wow. Just wow!

Just need to say a few things. (spoilers)

James voice was very good to start with.

Hollow Years features a new intro and an extended solo (quite similair to the budokan solo) and some short new lyrics (don't know if there is references to another song here).

Solitary Shell also features an extended solo at the end, including a very awsome ..... (spoiler alert) ...... iPhone solo :). I was laughing the hell out of me when i understood he was doing the sounds on the iPhone. Very funny! He used this application:

Metropolis also include some extended solo's featuring the continuum and keytar.

All in all it was a very nice and diverse setlist and they made an awsome performance as usual!

Please guys, if any of you bought a Meet and Greet ticket for the Sweden Rock show, please tell me a little bit about how your time was. I am going to meet the band in Stockholm in september!

I would assume JP will bear hug you, JLB throws a snow ball at you, Mike then grabs you and turns you upside down and shakes you yelling, "where's the hamburger!!", JR casts a lightning bolt to free you and JM bends down to pick you up, smiles, then tackles you to the ground. That's all when you first walk in and say hello.

That's great, but that's just a festival, where I'm sure DT has less time to play than what they'll have with PN.  And furthermore, I'm sure once BC & SL is released, you'll see a couple of more tunes off of that album as well.

I take that setlist for what its worth, and that's not too much right now.

I agree with astrotrain. I hope they play the epics from Black Clouds and Silver Linings.

Very nice setlist indeed. The only song I would drop is Constant Motion (give it a rest for this tour imo).

OMG, Solitary Shell! I hope they keep this song for the rest of the tour. Can't wait to see Jordan's bebot solo.

A nice setlist for a festival like that.

No Siamese drum kit?  I didn't remember hearing that MP was "going back to basics".
I figured Tama would be outfitting him with a new configuration, but didn't think the Siamese (double kit) would go away!

BTW the band looks and sounds great.

Ive always wonderd why they cut those lyrics that are in the demo, they sound really good

As far as the smaller kit is concerned, I would imagine it is because they are playing mostly festivals and have less time for changeover when sandwiched between other bands as opposed to headlining their own show where it can already be set up behind a curtain with the openers playing infront of it.

The only thing I would say about that is that I'm sure they used the full kit on the CiM tour for the festivals at the beginning. And that kit for some reason looks ENORMOUS on its own.

I think it was a fantastic setlist. Last time they played Sweden Rock in 2005 I thought Train of thought and Octavarium were overrepresented and this time it was nothing from either of them. I remember Mike mentioned in the Åkerfeldtinterview that the 2005 concert was a disaster, as well as the Stockholmappearance on the Awake tour. I was at both those shows and apart from micproblems on the Awakeshow I thought both shows were fantastic. In fact, the Stockholmgig might have been the best concert I´ve ever seen. Would be interesting to hear Mike elaborate why these shows were disasters

Any chance that the Russian Evening With show will have the 12 Step Suite in its entirety?  I seem to remember MP saying that they were going to play it in its entirety at an evening with show and release on CD/DVD.  How sweet would that be?!!!!  I don't have the patience to search the tour log to see if there are any other Evening with shows on this tour.

It's pretty obvious that MP will want to have it on the new DVD... I just wonder wether or not they'll be playing the entire suite throughout the tour or only on special occasions.
